<div>ok so i am on Test and i make a DE Warden and a DE Fury.... here is what 10 levels have made me think about on both.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>lets start with Wardens:</div><div> </div><div>Fire based DD and regen heals work Awsome to allow you to move through mobs fast.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Furies:</div><div> </div><div>Dot's and Blast heals work well to let the Fury help with dps (not as much as Warden) and help heal as thier heals are FAST casting.</div><div> </div><div>so in conclusion on the NEW lvl 1-11 Warden Vs Fury</div><div> </div><div>Warden have Heal over Time spells and Direct Damage Nukes like druids in EQLive.</div><div> </div><div>Fury have FAST heals and Damage over Time spells like the Unkempt Druids in Rathe Mountains in EQLive.</div><div> </div><div>they are both VERY fun compared to the Priest/ Druid/ Warden or Fury.</div><div> </div><div>you can get a feel for the class as soon as you make it and play what ever style you like ..... i would have to say though. The Warden for ME and maybe only me has Solo'd the Cave on the island at level 6 ..... which is kinda cool.</div><div> </div><div>/kudo to Sony for this LU19 is going to be GREAT.</div><div> </div><div>-Dax</div>

>you can get a feel for the class as soon as you make it and play what ever style you likeMost definitely. This was my first time playing a Fury (I had a bad experience with a Shaman a while back), and I like it a lot. Actually, out of the 9 or so classes I've tried out on test, Fury is the one I enjoyed the most and I'll probably make an alt Fury when LU19 goes live. I had a good feel for the class almost immediately, and that feel hasn't changed at all as I've progressed through all of the quests I could manage on the Isle. From what I've seen, the class changes have had the effect that the developers were going for. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div>Personally I was a bit dissapointed. I leveled a fury to 60 and had a blast with him, but the fury on test is a pale shadow.... I'm level 6 now and I have a damage shield, and a dot (2 damage ever 3 seconds, smite was way better than this, not even one dps). Compare that to a level 60 fury who has two dd spells (one encounter only aoe, and one large single target nuke, both do tons of damage), AND two dots. Dots are all well and good, but give me a nice nuke any day. They should balance it out, give both furies AND wardens a dot and a nuke. No nuke until 23 or so is kinda lame.

I've been trying all different types of chars on test, and finally gave a Fury a try. I have to agree with the previous poster, even though I've never played one before. The buffs are nice, but at level 5 I'm casting my dot over and over and doing tiny melee damage. Yes I'm able to kill mobs as long as I heal myself multiple times, but I expected a little bit more from the class honestly at this point.<div></div>

<div></div><p>It's interesting at lower levels that the Warden seems more effective at damage. At higher levels on live I believe that is reversed. Fury's can do alot more damage than Wardens.</p><p>Morgaine</p>

<div> This is true, my gf has a level 60 fury, she has some very nice damage, not to mention the INT buffs she has really puts her damage alot more than wardens at the same level. I am wondering if maybe this is a look ahead at them maybe nerfing the fury damage.</div>

<div></div><div>>at level 5 I'm casting my dot over and over and doing tiny melee damage</div><div>At level 5 you should be spamming your HO like it's going to be nerfed tomorrow. The HO consists of your DoT, so naturally you'll be casting it over and over. If you get a good melee weapon (Grimroot drops an Athereal Maul that does good damage) then you'll find that you don't have to do your HO as much, and the damage adds up and you won't have to heal as much. I never expected a priest to do a lot of damage, especially at such low levels, but strangely enough (my main is a necro), I rather enjoy the play style of a Fury. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

Only really stand-out damage spell Furies have is Starnova. The single-target DD is slow to cast and on a huge recast and we can't debuff magic resistance to make it hit harder. The cold dot only does big damage to elementals, and the divine dot is mostly a debuff so it does even less. Ring of Fire can be a good boost if you are in a sufficiently clear area to avoid extra aggo. Now why they're giving Wardens a heat damage spell when Furies have 3 heat spells (Fae Flames, Starnova, Ring of Fire), 1 cold (Waterspout), 1 divine (Killing Swarm)...that I have no idea.Gertack60 Fury, 60 JewelerBefallen - Fallen<div></div>

<div></div><p>Warden fire damage spells are short lived. At the upper levels they are all cold. At 60 I have one dot, one group damage ( not a true ae) and two direct damage as well as the smite line. We have a root/snare sort of thing but I have never seen it slow movement on any mob, it does not work on epics and frankly I get the mob is too powerful with it most of the time.</p><p>Our dot does make the mob more vulnerable to cold damage. We have no other debuffs. So basically at 60 we have 4 usable damage spells and the mob specific smites. </p><p>OH, we do have a pet spell. It summons wolves that will kill a green mob for you. If you take on a group they only kill the mob you are targetted on when you cast them. They won't go to the next mob in the group. Since they only last 30 secs and do not draw any agro off of the caster, they are great as far as helping when you are a bit over run but you need to expect to only be able to call them once in a fight.</p><p>As an aside we also get a pet healing tree. It is pretty cool but tends to mess with targeting and line of sight. Rather than a little pet looking thing it is a full size tree. <div></div><p>Well i for one hope they continue this low level stuff up to lvl 60 ......</p><p>Warden get Fire DD and very good regen heals. ( good use elements to kill )</p><p>Fury get awsome Dot's and Blast heals. ( evil use animals to kill )</p><p>would make a very defines class distinction between them both.</p><p>and yes good/evil is relitive to how you think or play. remember Vlad the Karpathian was a Palladin</p>

I'm just wondering why they're waiting till level 12 to give the Fury a HoT. Both classes are based around this type of healing and I think giving them instant heals over HoTs leads them down the path of a cleric and also limits caster diversity overall (IMHO, of course).I'd rather see Furies get a HoT by level 3, at the least. They should be getting the main spells that they'll be using post level 10 that they will be using throughout the game rather than just instant heals (again, IMHO). <div></div>

At least for soloing where you can pull with the effect, a magic debuff, since it's too slow a cast otherwise. The int on them would also be plus for damage.</p><p>If you've tried it I wonder if you think it would be a worthwhile investment for a soloing Fury?</p>
