Video crashes on nVidia FX 5600 XT

<div>I have been playing on both Isles and have had my UI flash like a neon light and crsah to reboot, desktop ot just plain lock up. I have tried the latest drivers, beta  drivers and the last oldest suggested by Sony and have the same problem especially when I try to intesact with something graphical, like the fire or going through openings outside the outpost. I have a FX 5600XT with 1GB RAM on a AMD 1500+.</div>

<div></div><p>One thing I've learned about nVidia drivers is they become unstable if you just reinstall over the existing ones. Also uninstalling the old then installing new still isn't clean.</p><p>I found you need to use a driver cleaner utility (I use Driver CLeaner Pro at <a target="_blank" href="http://www.drivercleaner.net/">www.drivercleaner.net</a>). It has instructions on how to properly uninstall the old drivers, run the utility, then install the new drivers.</p><p>I found doing this removed many of the problems I had with my video. Also for some reason my FX5600 was giving me problems but when I switched to a 6200 they wen't away for the most part. I still get crashes after playing for a long time that seem tied to memory usage (and seem like video problems since it involves graphical glitches for the most part). I've had less problems with test than with live but suspect that's only because of lower population on test so less models and textures loading in zones. Also with the removal of Frostfell I'm not getting 2fps in Qeynos Harbor anymore (okay wasn't that bad usually but would get that bad if I'd been playing for a while or had to zone in and out of the harbor more than once).</p>

<div>I am not sure what it means but every crash takes place within the Outpost itself. I can play merrily away from there and then it crashes when I return.</div>

<div></div>Still doing this as of 19c. Can play all I want and crsahes when I return to the Outpost or Colony. Lately going all black and I have to reboot.

<div></div><p>I have nVidia 8198 drivers but I have tried 7178 and the beta drivers. I am starting to think these crashes occur at night as alot of the time I have Ultravision up, but the last time was at night without ultravision.</p><p>I cannot imaginbe I am the only person this is going on for, I have no trouble on Live Server or outside the beginner islands.</p>
