Alright, after being sick of seeing the same questions/complaints/whatever over and over and over on the forums, I decided to make this.Note: Any changes/additions/things I should remove, just let me know.General Issues/Questions1.) How do I get on the test server?Go to the directory (folder) where you have EQ2 installed. Go into the directory named TestServer. Read the file with instructions in that directory.2.) Why is it going to take hours for the patcher to download the stuff to play on Test? You didn't follow the instructions :smileytongue: Read #13.) I found a bug! How do I report it?Use the /bug command in-game.4.) Do characters on Test add to my character total? / How many characters can I have on the Test server? No, characters on Test do not count towards your 6 (10 with Station Access) character slots. <strike>You can have up to 6 characters on test.</strike> You can, seemingly, have an equal number of characters on test as on Live (in other words, 10 w/Station Access, 6 w/o).5.) How do I know the devs are taking my feedback on the forums into consideration? If your post falls under any of the following categories, odds are they're going to ignore you:

Title contains "Devs" in it

Your post contains the words "dumbed down" with no reasoning behind it

You're re-posting something that has 56 other threads on it.

Any posts where the subject matter is "[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] MY CLASS WAS T3H N3RFED!"

Virtually all posts where you mention (or when it's obvious) that you haven't even tested the changes and are just acting on the patch notes.

Current Update Issues/Questions1.) I'm crafting level one. How do I level up so that I can craft?

If you haven't lef the Isle: Zone into the tradeskill instance.

If you have left the Isle: Click the shrine in either the Temple of Life (Qeynos), or the Temple of War (Freeport). [NOTE: This isn't in yet at the time of posting, but should be in the next update]

2.) Why is damage so low? Why do my skills barely hurt mobs at all? Why is it taking me so long to kill mobs? ETCOnly Mages and Priests are really having this problem - as-is, there's nothing you can really do other than wait, and possibly crafting Apprentice IV versions of your skills. Melee classes that aren't dealing enough damage should do the same with their combat arts, and/or buy/loot new weapons.3.) When is LU19 coming to the Live servers? When it's ready. There hasn't been a date released yet, however, one would speculate before Kingdom of Sky comes out.4.) What's the deal with the crafting changes?Crafting is going to be just crafting the final item with the raw materials. This is to fix the unnecessary complication of the original crafting system. There are already a number of threads about complaints involving crafting, so if you must complain, please stick to one of those and don't flood the board with new ones. Ideas/suggestions should be submitted on the forums or using the /feedback command on test (AFTER TRYING THE CHANGES OUT).5.) What's going to happen with all of my old skill books?Any skill books level 20 or above will be unchanged. Skills level 20 or below will be converted to the appropriate skill when scribed. For example, if you have a level 15 Sorcerer Adept I book, if a Warlock scribes it he will recieve an upgrade to his level 15 spell, but if a Wizard scribes it he will recieve an upgrade to his level 15 spell.6.) What's happening to all of my old subcombines? The devs are going to try to make them usable as raw materials, however, if you're paranoid that something won't work, I suggest crafting them into a final combine now.7.) Can we have more character slots? PLEEEAAASSSEEE?Sorry, but as-is the devs have said nothing about extra character slots. I wouldn't count on it.8.) Betrayal - how can I be a city-restricted subclass with a race of the opposite alignment now?If your class is alignment-restricted, your subclass will change after you betray and all of your skill will be set at Apprentice I.Current Bugs (and Workarounds)1.) My harvesting skills are at 0 and I can't harvest, what do I do?Buy one of the basic harvesting tools from an NPC Merchant (they add +1 to a harvesting skill).2.) I can't get out of my house! How do I get out?Type /house to open the house window. You can also use Call of Qeynos/the Overlord, or (should nobody else be in the house) /exit or /camp out of the game.

Message Edited by MadLordOfMilk on 01-21-200602:50 PM

Message Edited by MadLordOfMilk on 01-21-200602:51 PM

Message Edited by MadLordOfMilk on 01-22-200601:07 PM

Message Edited by MadLordOfMilk on 01-24-200603:05 PM
