Lowest artisan book sold is 3, and there is seemingly no way to advance past tradeskill level 1.You can buy and examine Dreak's note and talk to the guy in the society, and it gives you a little tradeskill xp, which puts you about 1/3 of the way into level 1. I find it amusing that he asks you to craft something that's impossible for any new character to do.    :pI was hoping to test out tradeskilling changes, any word on when it will be possible to do so?<div></div>

I noticed the same thing.  I'm guessing there's a ton of stuff missing still for newbies to do tradeskills.  It's not obvious you need to buy the note, but ok fine, I did and got the quest, but there's no way to do it since we can't get past level 1.<div></div>

<div></div><p>I am not even sure why Dreak's note is still in the game as he isn't around any more. I suspect it will get removed whenever they actually put tratdeskils for newbies in the game.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

I understand. It's just annoying that they put 1-19 crafts update in the patch notes but there's nothing we can do to see or test those changes.    <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div>Heh too bad I didn't have a pre-existing char. I deleted mine back when I stopped playing EQ2 for a while. AT least the Tradeskill NPC on the island has dialog now, and tells you 'once you get to X'. I suspect the crafting 'tutorial' stuff will all be in the tradeskill instances now though I do hope they actually put it on the newbie islands, it was also a good lesson in how to manipulate in-world objects (for housing and now quests and such throughout the game world).</div>
