<div></div><div>I love voice overs and NPC taunts, I really do.</div><div> </div><div>But is there a way permanently shut down 'specific' NPC (such as dwarf bartender in QH harbor  or Half-Elf male in Willow wood)?</div><div> </div><div>Or should I just modify game files to do that?</div><div> </div><div>PS: Okay, I'm aware of shutting down NPC voice over but they remove themselves from list after zoning and I don't want to close rest of NPC voice overs.</div><p>Message Edited by selch on <span class="date_text">01-18-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:43 PM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div>If the NPC has a quest, do the quest. One guy in Starcrest ("Can you believe that Vandis..." ) was driving me nutz. So at about 35 I did his 8th lvl quest just to shut him up. :p<p>Message Edited by Igu on <span class="date_text">01-19-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:44 AM</span></p>

I hate him "Sorry, we dont serve Elven wine or anything that does not burn throat" taunt drives me crazy everytime I pass.. </div><div> </div><div>Well, if I knew mp3 name of that sound or folder, I can make a empty mp3 and put it in a directory to override it.</div><div> </div><div> </div>

<div></div><p>there are at least 20 NPCs in qeynos i'd pay a plat each to have them assassinated and shut up perminantly!</p><p> </p><p>they seriously need to let us perminantly mute an NPC. plenty dont offer quests but spout [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] in our ears anyway.</p><p> </p><p>my main lives in qeynos harbour and the dwarf behind the bar really grinds on me.</p>

I now use the guard at the tunnel in Baubbleshire ("gee I wish I had some jumjum beer" or something) to alert me that I have finished zoning from my Call to Qeynos so I can step away from the computer if I need to.I use the innkeep in Baubbleshire ("Would you like some new linens" or something) to alert me that my merchant has finished logging in or that I have finished zoning out of the Scriviners tradeskill basement.See, those frellin' repetative NPCs can be helpful *smirk*My preference, though, would be for every static NPC (i.e. white name or guard), especially the ones in the village and city zones, would have a right-click option to PERMANENTLY shut up.But... if wishes were horses, beggers would ride *sigh*<div></div>

When you zone back, you hear them again...

I'm saving up to buy a 5 room house in S.Qeynos just so I can get away from Bartender Shortbrew-it's seriously worth all that money to me just to never hear him again.<div></div>
