<div></div>I cannot advance past level one unskilled.: The Isle of Refuge has nothing available for a tradeskiller, and I have no recipes to get out of level one (on the isle or in Qeynos)This was mentioned in <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=testfeed&message.id=41075" target="_blank">this post</a>, and being stuck, I thought I would make a new thread on the subject.<div></div>
I noticed this morning (first time on in a bit) that my trapping is set at 0 (level 8 - just arrived from the Refuge and got citizenship) so I can't trap (although I can do the other gathering, mining, etc tradeskills). I got the other skills in early December prior to the recent changes (on the island), but there is no trapping there.<div></div>

<div></div>This is a known issue on Test atm, and is tied (we think) to the lvl 1-20 class revamp in progress.

The fix for harvesting currently is a /petition to get it raised back up (probably just to 1) or buy the harvesting tool for that skill so you have a 1 or higher and can then rebuild the skill up.</p><p>As for crafting, all new characters can not do any crafting yet. The tradeskill NPC isn't finished, Dreak's note is still in the TS instances for sale but no longer offers a quest, the guy who sells it in the instances has a quill over his head but doesn't offer a quest. The t1 and t2 spells and essenses recipes are just showing raw components (and any with a component listed in 2 slots can't be made it seems). I think we'll have to wait until at least 19b before we see anything for tradeskills since they're changing that around as well (and unlike the levles changes to TS will likely affect all levels). Its been stated there's likely to be a 19a 19b 19c and 19d before we see all the new content and changes.</p>

<div></div>I was able to start Draek's quest by buying the note from the merchant and then hailing him. That put me around 40% into level 1 (unskilled).Too bad I have no recipes. I would be level 2, and it is all downhill from there. <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div><p>Message Edited by YourTypicalEQIIPlayer on <span class="date_text">01-17-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:56 AM</span></p>

<div></div>Yes, to start Choosing a Profession on Live, you must get Draek's note, examine it, and hail the Tradeskill representative who happens to sell it.

<div></div>Forgot about the hailing part. THink what threw me was when I examined Dreak's note I didn't get the blue dialog box with the list of TS instances, just the black window with the general information.
