I got off the island at tradeskill lvl1, unskilled since there is no tradeskilling on the island yet. The problem now is that I can't make anything, can't scribe anything, & have no tradeskills whatsoever. Will there be some solution for people like me? Thanks a bunch.<div></div>

<div></div>I would think you could just buy the recipe book or do the tradeskill quest once you get off the island and you should be fine. Its a waste to craft on the island anyway. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

It's a known issue, I believe - you have no crafting skills, so until they fix it you just have to do something else.<div></div>

<div></div>Hm, my Test toon (who converted) had Tradekills listed in her skills window this morning.  And made a spell.

<div></div><p>Pre-existing characters keep tradeskills but new characters don't get them. YOu used to get them from doing Dreak's quest or automatically when you left the newbie island if you didn't have them already.</p><p>Currently new characters don't get any tradeskill ability as the NPC on the newbie island isn't done and you don't get them granted to you when you leave the island.</p><p>I even tried buying Dreak's notes in the tradeskill instance (which you can join the wholesaler ones even with 'unskilled' level) but it doesn't offer a quest. THe guy who sells them has the quill over his head for a quest but doesn't offer one or say anything at all. YOu can get wholesaler quests since new characters at least get harvesting skills. I even tried talking to the two NPCs who you see to choose your tradeskill subclasses and while able to become a scholar I still had unskilled level in tradeskills and got no abilities to do crafting with.</p>
