<div>For my wizard at least.  I'm not saying i wasn't able to do them but...  i die way too much.  I have a level 60 wizard and i know how to play one.. i LOVE the changes and its much much better and more fun.</div><div> </div><div>But at about level 8.. you start getting quests to kill mobs few levels higher then you that are white conned quests... I can't take these mobs.. i can not take a yellow without dieing 50/50.</div><div> </div><div>Also i die SO fast that i pretty much can't kill multi group encounters.. they just chew threw me before i can do that much damage.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Low levels are supposed to be a welcome.. here is how the game is.. and then you crank up the difficulty every few levels.  Right now its harder to play a new character</div>

<div></div><p>Example. </p><p> </p><p>Pawns in the game.  This quest is a level 10 quest but the mobs are minimum level 10.  Also they are all no arrowed mobs wich makes it very hard to solo (and lets face it.. very few people group at low levels due to lack of low level population.) Yes.. i used root.. stun..all my abilities and still had had time doin it (i've played a wizard since launch)</p><p>Most people i know would give it up... I mean you have the free trial...  you didnt like it.. give it up.  The start game is very important not to be overly difficult.. and not to be overly easy.. right now it seems casters just take way too much damage</p>

Sedden meant, what level are your combat and utility skills at?  For example, my 55 Assassin, who formerly had all skills maxed, logged in at 231/276 Slashing, and similar numbers for Piercing, Ranged, Focus, Defense, Parry, Safe Fall, Disarm, and so on.  That's equivalent to lavel... what, 46?  And there she is as a 55, unable to fight level 55 mobs with the normal measure of success because her skills are those of a level 46 character.  Same happened with my 20 Fury: logged in to find Ordination at 3/103, where it had formerly been just shy of 100, and similar drops in all her other skills.New characters rolled on Test are having similar problems with skills.  They aren't gaining skill points well at all, and so that means there are level 10 toons with level 2 skill points -- in which case, it's hardly a surprise that they can't finish level 10 quests.<div></div>

<div></div>As of last nights patch I started gaining skill points alright again, but still not doing hardly any damage, things are blocking/parrying half the time, and 0 avoidance and getting hit for twice the damage I deal, against a blue single down mob, and I'm a shadowknight with a 5.0 damage rating weapon.

<div>From a casters point of view, the spell do too little damage, are frequently interrupted and you die a lot. Also mobs are helping one another even in low level quests.</div><div> </div><div>Newbies will not want to play this game if they find the starter island UNFUN and too difficult for the class they picked.</div><div> </div><div>Currently the island is not soloable for all classes and the gold standard these days is the newbie starter area should be soloable by all classes.</div>

As a wizard, I was 1 or 2 shotting things which were blue or white and maybe 3 shots for the yellows and my health never went below orange.. and that was before getting root.  After getting root, even pairs were easy to take out.I started a co-ercer and I know I have a wizard's mindset and don't know the best way to solo with a brand new coercer (and have never played one before).  I was still able to take out blues and whites, but I used my wand to beat on them a lot more since I was out of power almost constantly.Different playstyles.  I'm sooo not used to any other caster type.  I know it.But.. that doesn't mean the coercer should blast like the wizard. I also tried a bruiser, a troll, I was having more problems dealing with the size and perspective (I generally play -short- characters) than the combat.  I haven't ever played a bruiser on Live.  I wasn't having problems with blues and whites, though.  I'll have to try it again with something a bit shorter *chuckle*<div></div>

I thought that spells were weak in relation to the mobs. I also started a DE Warlock and she seemed a lot more power than the Iksar.
