<div></div><div><font size="3" face="Arial">Seriously now, even though we've never played at level 1 and 2 before, do the level 1 and 2 spells need to be so weak?  Especially since our spells are scattered out to those levels now, and for example, Wizards have to wait until level 7 or 8 to get another basic nuke?  Only doing a few damage per  spell makes the newbie island impossible for some classes.</font></div><p>Message Edited by Willias on <span class="date_text">01-14-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:30 AM</span></p>

<div></div>This is a big concern for a lot of classes. My illusionist's main nuke deals 3-4 damage for 5 power. My DoT deals 3 damage per tick and deals 7-8 damage when it expires for 8 power. Something is definitly wrong when your DoT deals equal damage to your nuke with one tick.

I mean I can blow through em so fast even In the new system on test.</span></div>

I started a Warlock and he is doing great as is my newbie summoner. The Wizard is pathetic as he runs out of power and the damage is so low.  THe SK is great and can handle them but the whole thing is class dependent.</p><p>Also with no tradeskills you can't even attempt to make upgrades for the spells.</p><p> </p>

<div></div><div>Let's put it this way, which way do you think a developer is going to go?</div><div> </div><div>A) Start spells to weak and get complaints, then bump them up till you get them where you want and get progressively less complaints.</div><div> </div><div>B) Start spells to strong and get praise, then nerf them down till you get them where you want and get progressively more complaints.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>By the Dev's own notes, this is an ALPHA test. Expect spells and abilities to get added, deleted, shuffled, adjusted, tweaked, hammered, ubered, nerfed, folded, spindled, mutilated, washed, rinsed, spin dried, and fluffed before we're through. :smileyhappy:</div>

When the patch first came out alot of classes could 1 shot everything and everything went crazy from there. because of people 1 shotting everything no one could get there skills up. Then yesterday they decided to NERF every combat art and spell in the patch and cut the damage in half which is WAY too much for some classes who depend on fast, big damage strikes.... so its truely a double edged sword

<div></div>lol ya has anyone tried playing a guardin yet. What a joke you get a 2 hand starter weapon and your first attack at lvl 2 is a shield bash. Then you dont get another attack spell of sorts for like another 4 or 5 lvls so its a compelte beating to start one.

<div></div>Yes, some classes it's just ridiculous. I made a baby warden, tried to do the quest where you kill the goblins that are running at the fort. My first damage art was a DS... which helps not at all when you are trying to catch those speedy durn goblins.
