So far I haven't seen anything about the new class armor. My test characters were a lvl 9 monk and a lvl 9 druid. It was a little confusing because they were both actually parked at their trainings ready to do the final quest to gain their 10 lvl class. Happily I went from lvl 9 to lvl 11 from all that back xp. So off to Antonica I go. It wasn't until my bags were suddenly full that I even realized I had a new set of armor. The armor looks awesome but the mitigation is lower than what I had. Will they continue the class armor look as I level? Or is this just a teaser? Are they going to revamp the way armor looks on the individual classes? I like the look but unless it increases or similar armor increases in stats it will be useful.Zoo<div></div>

I can't post any new armor pics,But I can tell you from playing on test this morning that it will be a BLAST to make a new character! SoE is really hitting it out of the park with this one (imho).

I rolled a baby Brigand last night and it was a completely different experience than I've had in any of the previous 10 or 12 times I've leveled scouts as far as citizenship. The pink armor (<font color="#cc00ff">pink</font>! For a brigand!!) was both good and bad, hehe. I feel like I'm playing a completely different (and more interesting) game with this new level 2 toon than I've been playing for a year.</span></div>

<div></div>Newbie monks get a gi now, and warlocks and illusionists get robes with different colored hoods (though the flat grey of the rest of the robe makes me wonder if its finished as it looks like its missing textures when I move heh). You also get a class-specific weapon when you start.

I hope that newbie monk Gi goes live and if so there is away for my main DE monk to get it.....she will be very upset if she cant....<div></div>

I really don't want to have to delete and re-create my monk so that I can get my gi. I would lose my uber Frostfell Snow Globe!Jen <img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></span><div></div>

Please please please please please put in player craftable Gi's. Use the same stats as player made leather chest pieces, just add T1-T6 graphics for Gi's (both crafted and legendary). Let us look like monks and bruisers, not Furys.</span></div>

Why not just make all/most armor that a monk/bruiser can wear look like a Gi and give it the right color for each tier?I don't see why the same leather tunic has to look the same on different classes.Seems like a simple thing to implement as well.

<div>Given the current situation where the only usuable T7 Gi is a drop from Rhoen in Ahket Aken, then yes...player craftable Gi's are a very sound idea. Hopefully in T7 there will be more usuable - read Legendary and Fabled Gi's dropping the game. Every Brawler in the game should have access to a non-raid dropped Gi, appropriate for their level. Alas, we are now off topic for testing.</div><div> </div><div> </div>

If not then you need to explain why. Pretty much every other type of armor is craftable, why not the Gi?</div>

<div></div>Because then they wouldn't be unique.

<div>Weapon texture are lovely, i think the starter swashie weapon is a katana, or rather one handed tulwar. Its rusty, but nonetheless it looks much better than anything from level 1-39, before the weapons get any impressive textures at all. Same with all the armor, it gives alot more colour than you'll ever see before T6, full of fabled armor, and thats just due to the nature of having patchworked fabled pieces from seperate sets that results in the skittle suit. This is the first time i've seen so far, that the newbie islands on test are absolutely swamped with players, almost to the point where its hard to get quest done.</div>

How is that better? At least giving each class a unique look regardless of the name of the armor, would be a move towards more character uniqueness between classes. Though it would reduce uniqueness between members of the same class in the same tier.</span><div></div>

look, you brawlers, gi's are the ONLY unique type of armor available. why even make it craftable? one gi per tier is more then enough, it's more then any other class gets.sounds arrogant and selfish? sure. why should other classes look more unique than my class?

Giving crafters the ability to create class specific armor for every tier, rare and regular would solve a huge amount of problems to diversity. To really solve diversity problems they would need 3 or 4 diffrent sets for each tier, class and quality. A nightmare for the poor devs that have to customfit to gender/size/race, but from a player viewpoint it would be incredible. Can't really see the problem of this compared to raid dropped or treasure. In my opinion they should just remove dropped armor and rare harvest, and just drop the raws needed for armor in chests.<div></div>

<div></div><blockquote><hr>Dimgroth wrote:wow, please, noone on test knows how to take screenshots? do I really have to load up hours of patches to see?<div></div><hr></blockquote>You need more than to take screenshots. YOu have to resize them and have a web host. You can't insert images directly into the fourms, only provide links to them on the web. Also this is test and most of us are busy testing functionality, not taking screenshots. I took a couple of what I thought were some nice new visuals and that post is somewhere on page 3 now most likely.

www.imageshack.us, resizes them and hosts them, just copy the direct link to a notepad for later use and put that adress in the box prompt when you click the Image' icon on forum post here. Takes all of... 1 minute.<div></div>

Just so everyone knows, generally all the "class armor" is just re-colored old stuff, but kinda cool nonetheless. Personally I'd like to ask questions such as "why does the brigand chain tunic appear to have <i>dents</i> in it? It's chain!" <span>:smileyhappy: By the way, I've gotta ask, why is everyone so obsessed with classes looking different? It's not really making you look unique when the 50+ other people who play that class on your server look similar...<span></span> Well, unless you're a coercer... then you might be the only guy on the server who looks like he does <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span> (No, seriously, do a /who all coercer, I never get more than about 2-4 results)</span><div></div>

<div></div>I think the point of classes with distinct armor is so that not all LA wearers look the same. I don't know how many times someone asks my monk for a revive thinking that because he's LA he's a healer. WHile its true that classes won't be distinct amongst themselves it at least makes the classes more distinct visually from each other, and adds more variety overall to the world. Being in a group with 4 casters all wearing identical robes is dull and can be hard to figure out who's who <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
