As far as I can tell from testing the new isle there is no need for it but it was a fun part of the tutorial. Also I was in the Sprawl and kept getting killed by invivble orcs, was that a bug or to do with the new stealth abilites of NPC's?<div></div>

<div></div><p>Agree, some form of story as to how we got to this island should exist. as it is now we just pop into an island fully equipped and ready to use our "uber" skills... there is no form of immersion or RP introduction into the chars. I mean there should be an explanation to where we come from and how we got here... pls don't make it like WoW... some form of intro pls</p><p>As a sidenote i miss the "progression" in one aspect. Don't get me wrong i really like the new model.. but look at it from a wider angle... from now on you get upgrades to what u got at lvl 1... all your spells/CA's in the future will be same thing but higher dmg/buff. Ofc there are some new stuff once in a while... but .. well you get my point.</p><p> </p>

<div>Well in a way if you talk to the first guy you're pointed at you find out WHY your on the island, if not exactly how you got there. Also keep in mind that they're still working on the NPC dialogs. Also this change is to represent that we're not refugees picked up at sea with nothing on, we're now 'returning heros', basically Qeynos and Freeport heard of us and asked us to come to the colony/outpost and help out with what is going on there. That's why we've got some basic equipment tailored to our class already.</div>

And, I wonder if some of the leveling difficulty is because The Far Journey is missing. You used to get to level 2 or 3 on that intro. Now, we start at level 1 right off the bat. That sounds like I'm complaining about starting at level 1 on the isle. LOL. I'm really just pointing out that we used to start on the isle at 2 or 3 effectively.

<div></div>Well I think its more that the new level 1 abilities you get (if you open your knowledge book and see that you have them, this will be fixed soon apparently) aren't very powerful so you do pathetic damage when you do hit, and the mobs seem to do more damage than a shadowknight a level higher than them (while playing my shadowknight after last nights 'less deadly' update where I still was dying on the average of every five minutes against blues and whites). At least they put in discovery experience on the newbie island last night so that helps with the levelling some.
