<div></div><div>I sat at work yesterday with a near inability to wait getting home and trying the new update. I've been really psyched about the new character progression ever since it was first announced and was REALLY eager to try it out. So I get home and load up my only test character, one I had never played I rolled him for the sole purpose of having one waiting for the when the new character progression came out. I started him up, already level 3 (So I lied, I played him to level 3 when the update for the new questing system came out) and got the choice to pick my class; Wizard, Warlock, Coercer or Necromancer was my choices to choose from. I quickly choose the one that I've been dying to play but didn't have the desire to go back through all the tiresome progression till I hit 20, so I click on my necromancer icon and away I go.</div><div> </div><div>I found it cool, at level 3 I had two DOTs and my first pet spell a, and might I add not a half bad looking, bat. I had already figured this bat would be weak in comparassion to other necro pets that you got when you hit 20 before. To my shock the pet was terrible effective, tanking 2 yellows at a time I quickly saw the power of the necro that I only saw other people using. As I started going through I started making note of little bugs that I saw and differences, I found the island to be 100% different, with horseman and agroing scounts in place of the, once annoying, goblins. New quests beckoned for me to complete them and without delay I started first quest, which was simply to run around and find these little locations. Needless to say I was too eager to test my class then to test the things on the island, and since I already knew how to play the trainers that were on the island were less attractive to me then exploring. I noted, to myself, that the island was more difficult then it was before; not an overwhelming, you'll get your butt whipped, hard, but rather a "This has a nice litlte challange to it" hard. You found yourself progressing smoothly along, with each of the fights easy enough to win, but hard enough to make you keep an eye on your stats and in my case my pets stats. The original island, when I'd roll a new character, I would just run around quickly and not pay any attention to anything, everything was so terrible easy (But hey, it was a starter island right, you don't want ot blow away newbies...and it still doesn't), but this island offers a nice progression and gives you the ability to quickly understand your characters strenghts and weaknesses.</div><div> </div><div>I took note of two major bugs that plauged me while I was playing. The first was the disappearing mob bug, I would be fighting one of the mobs and he'd suddenly disappear leaving me in combat, then reappear again after. This was more of an annoiance, making fights take longer then they should. The second and more major of the two was the glittering ore issue. My necro attempted to mine the glittering ore and got "Nothing found" I tried again, got the same...again...again..........again. My necro NEVER found any glittering ore and all he needed was two to complete the quest. A game bug, or perhaps a necro bug? I'm not sure myself, but I know it was annoying as all. </div><div> </div><div>All in all I found the new update to be awesome, IMO the best yet. The new character progression is awesome and the new island I love. If you have not yet given the new progression a try, try it out. I think others will love it as much as me, then again maybe some people prefered the old...its just my 2 copper is all!</div><div> </div><div>Happy Gaming all!</div><div> </div><div>//EDIT</div><div> </div><div>I don't know why the forum posted 3 of my same threads, two of which only had 1 to two words in it. But if someone would kindly tell me where the "Delete thread" is I'll be happy to remove the two glitched posts.</div><p>Message Edited by Kaanha on <span class="date_text">01-13-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:50 AM</span></p>
