<DIV>Ok, I did a brief run on the Test server and noticed a few issues with equipment.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Class armor gained through the class quest (not subclass) is not usable.  For my troubador I was unable to equip my ring from the class quest (Ring of Gallantry) even though it says: Bard 9.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Subclass specific armor from the lvl 20 armor quests.  As a troubador, I noticed a few issues.  First of all I want to say they look good so far appearance-wise (for the pieces I have), but the mitigation on them is not chain, but leather (much less than the original armor quest) even though there is a chain appearance (right).  The stats on the subclass armor is lower than that of the original armor quests (less direct stats/resists), but <EM>slightly</EM> more hp/power.  Also I assume the subclass armor quests have stats more in line for that subclass, but, for example, the bracers of the armor quest have int and str where the subclass specific bracers have agi and sta.  Troubadors need int and str much more than agi and sta.  To fix this: Raise the mitigation of the subclass specific pieces (at least of the troubador's), increase the stats given by the item by 2 and double the resistances.  Also, change the bracers back to int/str (or at least int/agi).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh yeah, what is with all the EQ1 music files I downloaded... do I really need to hear sanctus seru's music at some point?  If so, COOL!</DIV>

<DIV>The equiping problem is happening in more than one class. My class ring for Summoner was forcibly removed when I became Necromancer.</DIV>

This isn't really related to your problems, but is there a chance you can take a screenshot of the subclass armor? Some of us are eager to see how these new armor appearances look. <div></div>

There's supposed to be a NPC that will exchange your old class rewards for the updated versions.Does your ring have the exact same stats as the old one?  If so, you might want to try finding the exchanger and trading it in.Of course, the patch notes made it sound like everyone would be given the option of keeping the old or swapping...<div></div>

Example: I level up a mage.  I hit level 10 and become an enchanter.  I can use my ring that I got, since it says 'Class: Enchanter (9)'.  Level up some more and hit level 20, become a Coercer.  Oh, all of a sudden my ring pops off my finger and is red to me.  Why?  Because the game no longer recognizes you as an Enchanter.  It only knows you as a Mage and a Coercer.  This has nothing to do with the AQ changes.  (Well, the bug may have been caused by it). AQs (which has nothing to do with the complaint, but will explain)! How they work.  Let's say my mysterious level 25 bard had done all his AQs and is wearing them all.  Now, I can go to the same guy that gave me all the quests, and he has an assistant that will sell you the new ones for a silver and some change.  He will buy the old ones for some change.  It will only sell you ones that you have done the quest for.  My level 54 SK that only did three of the quests can only buy the first three pieces. <div></div>

Ooh, thanks for the clarification Hank.  That sounds like a completely separate bug.<div></div>

<P>Ju my opinion but,,,</P> <P>Buy a better ring. </P> <DIV>I would say the same thing for AQ armor. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Crafted non-rare armor is dirt cheap on most markets, there's no reason to be wearing level 20 stuff at level 30.</DIV> <DIV>( I think I picked up a set of T4 for like 7g, if you don't have 7g at level 30 I dunno, go harvest one rare or tradeskill. )</DIV> <P>There are so many bugs and problems with the game, a level 9 ring or level 20 AQ armor falling off at level 20/30 just does not seem like that big of a deal. <P>But it is a bug I suppose, meh, now I am just rambling.</P><p>Message Edited by Baneful on <span class=date_text>12-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:25 PM</span>

<DIV>I only have two pieces as those were the only ones I did (my troubador is only 22 on test... and troubadors before 50 are bar none the worst soloers in the game... I didn't realize how bad it actually tried it... Luckily I was able to kite the guy needed for AQ2).  Going to study for a final, when I get back I'll post a picture of the two pieces (hands/bracer.. not much, but gives you a hint, mainly has to deal with tinting).</DIV>

However, there are potentially many other things that are class specific which would now break if the class definition changes. One that comes to mind is that wonderful leg armor that drops from the fanatic in Crypt of Betrayal. It is wearable from level 18 up, and is worth wearing. If it says "Warrior", and I go "Guardian", I've just lost some wonderful leggings because of a bug.</P> <P>I do not know if this is happening, but there is a problem, and the full consequences of that bug are not clear!</P> <P>When working in test systems, I am suspicious of every minor change - it may presage something MUCH nastier.</P>
