I've noticed that the mitigation portion of the Spirit of Oak (47 Warden Spell) does not stack with other mitigation buffs applied with Templars, specifically Valor. I am pretty sure this is a bug because it pretty much renders that buff useless in a group with a Templar. If I'm wrong, let me know...

Certain buffs are not supposed to stack.

Spirit of the Oak is part of the Courage line, which is why the mitigation portion does not stack. If it's from the same line, it will not stack, if it's from a different line it will.Except for the Mage-subclass buffs which do not stack at all, go figure.

They may have wanted it that way, I dont know, but recently they made all the mage buffs from each that grants intelligence, not stack.

So with that precedent...I would assume many of the same stat buffs from different classes wont stick either.

Alot of buffs are doing partial stacks based on subclasses overlaps, thats probably the problem.

As an example if you have a Dirge and a Trounadour in the same party, both running their stat buffs, which came from the same bard line originally. The dirge is hitting Str and Agi, the troub is hitting Strength and stamina. When partied the group gets the stonger strength buff of the two, the dirges agi and the troubs Stamina.

Most of our buffs have a cap on them. They gave the %'s and #'s back in one of the first udates after the CU. Could also be that the mitigation buffs the templar and the tank themselves are tossing on have already capped his mit buff possiblities.

That system is in place for both buffs and debuffs. So I would imagine its either a complete and intentional overlap on the mitigation buff from the priests, or a cap they hit before you're buff was even added in.
