SOGA model bug: Hair color

<DIV>I am going to classify this as a "very frustrating issue".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I created a character a short while ago on test server, with the SOGA models turned on. Despite the very limited customizability, I tried to be serious about this characters looks, as if I were going to level her up to 60 as my new main character. Well, by the time I clicked the Finish button, I was very pleased. This character looked great. She had just the right hair style, hair color and skin color.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As soon as I landed on the far journey however, I found that while she had nice light colored hair on the character select and creation screens, her hair is very dark colored... and just not what I had in mind for this character.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have noticed this kind of thing before with the old models, but not to such an extreme. I would guess that it has something to do with the lighting. Could you fix the character select and creation screens, so that they more accurately display characters the way they appear in-game?</DIV>

I must have deleted and re-created a dozen level 2 toons (or more) because of this hair thing, since I started playing.  It'd be great to have that fixed... <div></div>

<P>Yeah no kidding.</P> <P>You would think this issue would've been fixed before since it's been around since the game started.</P> <P>It would be nice to see the ACTUAL color we're picking when we create our characters.</P>

I noticed this problem too. My character went from being blonde in the creation to being raven haired black. So confused...

I don't seem to have such a problem; What I see is that hair highlight color just changes the tint on hair color, making it ether lighter or darker, instead of the old way where they were seperate colors/attributes. But that might be as intended, and it does look rather nice tbh. If someone could post pics showing the problem I think that would be more helpfull. <div></div>

<DIV>Yea, I probably should have posted a screenshot in the first place. Here is what I was talking about. On the character creation and character select screens, she has beautiful silver hair. I even named her "Silverspirit" and was really looking forward to playing this character. In-game however, her hair is black with white streaks. Not only did this kill my interest in the character, but now I feel silly for having used the word "Silver" in her name.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://eq2images.station.sony.com/000/000/912/426.jpg"></DIV>

<P>To make silver look, delct the main color as pale gray than higlight as white. I think it will work.</P> <P>I got the same issue and create lot of character to get used to it.</P>

You cant expect every player to spend a lot of time with trial and error of creating a character and deleting until they get it to look the way they want to <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Definately a flaw in the character creation process, but it was not quite this noticable until we got these SOGA hair styles.</DIV>

Yikes! that is a problem.  I didn't catch that one earlier when I was playing with character creation.  Makes me wonder what other color combinations radically change under different lighting conditions. <div></div>
