The whole event was pretty cool. The Scarecrow mask is sweet. With that said I would like to see more stuff like this on a far more regular basis.

Well us Aussies don't really *do* Halloween - or at least we didn't when I was a kid about 40,000 years ago So I thoroughly enjoyed the event and all the quests! I adore my crow from Haunted House I feel very very Poe-esque with him sitting on my warped oak table =) Shirtless males? Im all for it - my armourer delivered my new set of T6 and ran up shirtless - personally I'll be hanging around the forge more often

I had a blast doing the Haunted House and the Tricks or Treats! As someone said above, I wish that they would have more events like this, it really adds some fun flavor to the world of Norrath!

Good job SOE!

Absolutely agree. Credit where it's due...the Halloween events have been much fun. Haunted House nearly gave me heart failure though :smileyvery-happy:

I have to agree. The halloween stuff was just simple basic fun. Trick or Treating, in game, with a real reward depending on how fast you are is very cool. It's neat to have this sort of stuff every now and then.

Totally agree, the designers should give themselves a pat on the back for some A-grade "fun" content. I've had a total blast with the new items, masks and quests. Good work guys. :smileywink:

Im sorry to be the one to bring a negative comment on this but i must bring this up

Can you fix the masks on caster please... I cannot show my mask with my robe on unless i change it for a tunic.

Next thing, it would be nice if we could hang up our mask in our room too

For the rest, i must admit, its very interesting and fun

Thank you

I normally don't bother to do these kinds of events because they usually end up being a soloable first step then require raids for the rest (the plague was horrible, still can't complete the Roeklick thing, D'morte was a bust, and I didn't both w/ Splitpaw), but I logged in the day the haunted house showed up... in fact I was one of the first ones in on my server. And I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the content soloable, but it scaled, so I could experience it with all of my alts. It was an interesting puzzle that required some fighting, but also some problem solving which was a nice change of pace (rather than all "challenge" being presented by a multi-hour spawn camp).

I do agree with the suggestion that the masks we earned through the haunted house, the trick-or-treat game and through the epic scarecrow event be mountable in our house. Any item earned through these type of holiday events should be able to be mounted as a prize or trophy for the house (isn't the the main purpose of the house when it comes down to it?). Once Holloween is over what are we going to do w/ these masks? Sell em? Well they won't sell to the vendor for much and we earned them... why throw away that prize? Wear em? Why? Holloween is over and you'd look silly... plus they don't have great stats (aren't supposed to, they are for fun). So right now our only choice is to store them in strongboxes in the bank... maybe bring them out next Holloween. Let us mount them in the house so they serve some sort of purpose and we can look at them hanging on the wall and remember how much fun we had earning them.

I loved the haunted house! I really like how that quest was done, it had its own private area and gave me the feeling that I was playing a single player game. I hope they add in more quests like that, ones that have some neat back story and puzzles.

Brilliant event! - I got all the masks and ENJOYED every minute.. was listening to music while running around and missed the leaserboard by 1 point when getting my Lucan mask. Ill miss it for sure. - Loved the haunted house.. nice puzzles, a lot of fun - Great scarecrow quest in Antonica.. honestly, big pat on the back for the guy who designed that quest. Had me smiling when I saw 'you know what' in the frields. - Heck I even moved around some of the pumpkins so that the goblin was standing in one I pretty much did everything and I think the devs should do these events all the time. Not just at Halloween, every month just have something small and unique! Make the game seem alive and non static by these things. Anyone remember the EQ 2 Festivals that were supposed to occur? Well how about having them at regular times with events.. dont just do them at Halloween and Xmas!

I completely agree, I thought the whole thing was a blast. I got all of my masks, the haunted house was great and the Antontica quest was amazing, I actually loved the story! (poor Ponchy, as much as I felt bad for him, I wanted to kill him, too!) I also agree that at some point soon the masks should be made mountable in your home, kinda silly taking up 8 spaces for something you will rarely, if ever, use again.

I don't remember an event for Christmas in EQ2 (kinda a touchy subject to most and hard to fit into Norrath world anyways) but the valentines one was cool. I am glad that for this event there was more to offer however, as the Valentine one was done and over in 30 minutes. Keep things like this comming!!

EDIT: Wait, I do remember some Christmas themed stuff, there were the candles and eggnog. But I don't recall an "event" like quests or something...

Message Edited by Terabethia on 11-01-2005 12:28 PM
