Higher-level quests received an additional increase in order to bring their reward more in line with the effort required to complete them.

Thanks so much for raising quest Exp :smileyvery-happy: i love questing but when you can get way better exp, more loot,by just powerleveling questing does become secondary , Exp Doubled or More in some cases : ) WOot WoOt , big thumbs up good way to help start Puting the Quest factor back as a focal point for everQuest : )

i had so much fun as a newb when the game first came out and runnin around tryin to do everyquest i found(lol even the delivery ones : ) they did a great job of getting you around freeport so by the time i got to level 12 i was very familier with my way around : )

lol my quest journal is always full so any quest i do now has more purpose a more valid reward for my time and toils that could have been spent just standing on a rock pullin mobs for 2 hours . Also it should greatly help to get Groups together to do more Group oriented quests , besides the exp in group on mobs plus the loot. now you get even more exp for doing the group for a purpose(quest) rather then just get a bunch of people with no real intention other then just level away , you could get 2 or 3 quests and Group up and do them all together and get some really good exp in a few hours,

it is like a Exp multiplier but like everything else after re-vamp it's how YOU utilize these changes ,

say if your in a standerd Power leveling group you net 20 % exp in an hour + Loot

the group next to you nets the same 20 % exp and the same loot , but when they complet the quest they get another 20 % exp + the Quest reward . plus this could help infuse the market with alot more Stuff = costs come down becuase of Quantity : )

what would you rather do ? NeverQuest? or EverQuest?

so like everything else after re-vamp if you take the time and put in the effort your rewards can be great ; )

Message Edited by Giralus on 10-07-2005 05:51 PM

I wish that there could be a change for the positive without all of the complainers coming out of the wood-work.

This is a good change, stop complaining!

yeah, to anyone who says sony isnt trying, i have seen several ideas, and this is one of them, that started on the forums here, and was included in the next patch.

this is a big deal i think, because now i have a reason to do quests. quests were always entertaining, they just werent rewarding. my wife spent yesterday doing a bunch of level 20 quests in antonica (she is level 30) and in a few hours she had half a level. so, what have i learned from this? for all the people that wanted group xp to be nerfed so quests were usefull again, here is your answer! still good xp flow, but now you can choose if you want to grind or have fun "exploring".

its a double bonus for people like me, who take the "kill x amount of x mobs" quests, now i get grind xp and quest xp...woots! thank you sony!

umm.. Raunll....

Apparently, you dont remember when SOE nerfed all quest xp by 50-100%? Now Quests will give about the same xp they did in the first 4 months, or so, after release. Yea! for SOE innovation and creativity... and listening to the players!!! *cough*... umm.. yeah, riiight...

This is, yet again, another back peddle done by SOE. They change things one way, and then swing it back around back to the way it was before. It just is an indication that they really dont seem to know what they are doing.

The lack of communication to the player community about thier long term plans would be further proof of the fact they dont really seem to have a long term plan.

The game really is like rats in a maze. The players are the rats, SOE changes the rewards and watch all the players swamp the new sweet spots....and then they get changed again. Eventually, it all balances out and there is no more sweet spot, so you do what you like, instead of what is most rewarding for XP or loot.Personally, I'm after XP to get to 60 ASAP on my main so I can help our guild start raiding fabled T6 loot. If I get to 60 in 3 months, that's about when the fabled loot and raids will get fixed...so, that's about right.

I wanted to say pretty much the same thing as the original poster - well done on increasing the quest xp, I think it's a great idea! :smileyhappy:

I also love the increased xp for tradeskills.

I realise that these changes may not be as great for everyone as they are from my point of view (as I spend most of my game time questing & tradeskilling!) but I wanted to post something positive in response to something positive being done to improve the playing experience!

So yes, a big thank you from me at least to whoever is responsible for introducing those two things!
