<DIV>Please, please I implore you SOE to give the community some answers on all of these different changes now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>People are very confused at the continuous changes that appear to be ongoing at such a late hour.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Where is it that you have in mind and how are we supposed to play these classes without a little guidance from you "THE CREATORS".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You have changed what we know and even the testers don't have a grasp at what is going on becuase every patch appears to change a significant part of gameplay.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please level with us, we have been loyal and patient and even though many of us whine and complain and rant we are still here and paying your company to play this game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is not a request for you to explain everything but to touch on each class and how you view each and their role in the world of EQ2.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What is your vision and where are you going with this and all of these changes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What is going to be the bottom line. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Today is 9/10 and roll out is 9/13.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>After reading posts and posts it appears everyone is still oblivious of what is going on and what is going to happen and what will be the final game we will playing and paying for.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We want consistency and some honest unfiltered vague answers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Help us trust you and understand where and how you see things working and functioning.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please consider that many of us when we first started playing we became used to that world of EQ2 and many of us were happy. Now, (and I understand change happens) we still have no idea the effect of spells, what the resistances of mobs will be like, how combat will finally operate and what we are to expect.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please help us understand what and why you are making these adjustments.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I realize these are on test, but let's face it the testers will no be able to test so many changes effectively in less than 1 weeks time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please understand, we want this game to be great and work well and as intended by you but we need some help here.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>An SOE customer for 5 years.</DIV>

<DIV>Crickets</DIV> <DIV>Crickets</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Do you really expect anything other than the copy/paste answers we have gotten from Mooreguard? I don't. We are going to have to log in, download LU13 and hope we have read and understand what those on test/beta have given us as still valid with the last minute updates. Hope you pick the right Master 2's while respecting your character. Start playing and hope we made the right choices. Doesn't sound good, but we either do it or stop playing.</DIV>

<P>You do realize that the go-live date is not a deadline for the changes to be complete, right? They need to be workable, yes, but I fully expect them to continue tweaking the changes in live as time goes on.</P> <P>Granted, it's possible that they break the game completely on the 12th, but I doubt that will happen.</P> <P></P> <HR> <P></P> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=ltr> <P>Hope you pick the right Master 2's while respecting your character.</P></BLOCKQUOTE> <P></P> <HR> <P></P> <P>The reason they took out the more flavorful training abilities was precisely because of the attitude displayed by this quote. People were too concerned with getting the "right" abilities, and would complain if the ability they took wasn't the best. That's why they made it so you just get a Master II of an existing ability. Now there is no "right Master 2" (or as much distinction between characters of the same class), they are each as good as their corresponding ability. Yay. :smileytongue:</P><p>Message Edited by Tarryn on <span class=date_text>09-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:53 PM</span>

<div></div><div></div>I think that the OP is referring to the huge nerf to Wizards and Warlocks in today's beta patch after having a dev post only three days ago that they were happy with the overall dps of both classes. It does seem, and has seemed for a while in beta that the devs are making seemingly random massive changes quite arbitrarily. With 2 DAYS to go, the changes feel like rather than prepping the revamp for release, the devs are continuing to use the combat changes as some sort of 'devs playground' for them to test out goofy ideas. ...so as of yesterday Sorcerer damage and aggro control is down the toliet thanks to our now massively random spell damage, and Summoners tank pets now have 0 mitigation. And there's not a dev in sight with the courage to come to the forums and explain either of these clearly crazy decisions. /Boggle. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Magiocracy on <span class=date_text>09-11-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:33 AM</span>

The answer to that is we know the basics of the game, gameplay, quests and encounters. We have this today and DoF is a good expansion. When it comes to balance though that is ever changing. It doesnt matter whether its today, tomorrow or a year from now but its always going to slowly evolve and I think thats what these past few patches are doing. Some classes have been rather powerful to put it blunty and therefore needed to have some changes made to put them more in line. This process won't stop on tuesday either with the release so I think you do know what you are paying for in a general sense but exact specifics of a combat art or spell are always subject to change. Not all changes are welcome and I think that is teh biggest issue here with people complaining all over while those who enjoy the changes and new challenges aren't exactly out there making hundreds of posts on the subject.</DIV>
