<DIV>I have noticed a few spells have been adding the see invis or see hidden components to the lists of spell effects. so my question/comment is this:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>currentlt see invisible or see hidden is absolutly useless except for seeing another player while they are invisible or sneaking. there has been no other aspect of the game thus far that has utilized see invisible or see hidden. with the new changes and the adding of these effects to varrious spelll has there been another use for them? does see hidden now show hidden paths in DoF or something like the sort? are actual NPC's going to become invisible in the future requireing us to use see invisible?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>pretty much i am wondering if this utility will actually be useful in upcomming changes. if anyone knows anything about it could you please let me know.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thanks </DIV>

<DIV>If I recall correctly there are MOBs that go invisible already. The corrupt dryads in the Rotweed cave (oakmyst forest) come to mind.</DIV>

<DIV>those mobs dont go invis they bug in the walls ceiling ond floor, causing their graphics to distort and dissapear. they will stay that way till you move to a certain spot or move out of the cave. both DFC and Cazic thule have the same problem. i have been in every zone and every instance and have never encountered a invisible mob. ghost mobs come the closet as they will dissapear and reappear as you move arround them. this is also a graphic bug. if you turn up you resolution the effect stops.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thanks for replying tho <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>as you said, ungrouped scouts and mages can disappear from view.  i would want to have some form of see invis/hidden if i fought them in the upcoming arena.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(jigs)</DIV><p>Message Edited by Jiggers on <span class=date_text>08-27-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:51 AM</span>

Well, the Headhunter himself wasn't invisible, but one of his three companions - a Sorcerer - was. With See Invis on, I could see the Sorcerer the same way you see an invised player (just the stealthed outline of the mob), and with it off, I could not see the Sorcerer at all.</P> <P>So even though invisible mobs are very rare, there are -definitely- some out there. And for all we know, invisible mobs may play more of a part in upcoming expansions, making See Invis useful. (By the way, See Invis should NOT cost any concentration in my opinion.. no one is ever going to use it if it does. And if no one uses it, how will we know about the invisible mobs?? <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</P>

<P>Trust me there are no invisible mobs running around in the gameworld yet.</P> <P> </P> <P>I'm a wizard have been level 50 since April and constantly run with 3 see invis buffs that mean there is nothing in the game that can hide from me not even sneaky scouts <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Not once in any zone have I experienced a see through mob indicating its invisible. </P> <P>I have however experienced in overland and mostly dungeon zones the tendancy for mobs to attack you from behind walls, under floors and above ceilings. These mobs are not  invis its just a bug in the pathing and the fact npcs do not recognise the clipping values like players do.</P> <P> </P> <P>Notice I did say "yet" its entirely possible in the future some mobs will roam invisible and thus the spell will be extremely usefull to have to avoid ambushes etc. At the momment its best use is to keep track of the bot groups who invisibly stalk around dungeons and zones attempting to steal any worthwhile targets before you can engage them.</P> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(Edit: I will proof read my posts before submitting :p )</DIV><p>Message Edited by FrostPaw on <span class=date_text>08-27-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:04 AM</span>

Yes there are invisible mobs. I personally know only one example, but you can check it anytime for yourself. In lavastorm near bunglegreeder tent there is a chasm, go down that chasm. If you do not have sufficient see invis, and you need it fairly high, and you are not invisible yourself you will die before you know what hit you, so be careful. A single "see invis" is not enough to see them, but I was able to see them by stacking it with my group see invis. See invis with eye patch should work as well, I'd think. Anyway, there are some nasty spiders that are always invisible till they attack.Enjoy
