<DIV>With the new combat updates it looks like Wizards and Warlocks and now about even in their DPS output which is awesome.  I play a level 50 Warlock on Live and I also have a level 22 Testlock lol  So far I am really liking the combat changes. From the looks of the higher level spell screenshots of the CU spells that I have seen what little utillity the Warlock had before has been taken away and we are just pure DPS looks like our good stuns have been taken away but all of our T5 spells are acually useful and well find thier way back to my hotbar. </DIV> <DIV><BR>I know a lot of other warlocks are worried about single target damage but to me it looks like our single target dps just comes from diffrent places Deter is now a nice DD with a 4 sec stun effect Soul Flay has had a nice upgrade  Wicked Gift looks to be pretty decent for single target damage its a reactive spell though. I have heard Nethros also has pretty good damage Torment of Shadows now has a 1 sec cast time so it will be a lot easier to  use. Dark Pyre has had a nice upgrade also. I don't like the Curse of Emptiness in its new form  but I guess I will just have to wait and see on this one.  I really like the fact that spell upgrades and Int mean a lot more  I have 12 master 1 spells and can get to 304 int self buffed so I am really stoked about this. Granted I will lose some Int since we no longer get a Int buff but no big deal. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The sky is not falling, most of the complaints I have seen are from people who are not looking at the big picture "Or even playing on the Test sever" sure some of the numbers are lower and some spells have changed but the way all the other classes interact with each other has also changed. Mobs are also revamped to be more in line with the players. Sure it really sucks that you spent all that money on a Adept 3 and that spell has totally changed I understand that can be upsetting but that is something we are just going to have to deal with it would be impossible for the DEV's to please everyone and the classes do seem to be a lot more balanced on Test and it should make this game more challanging and fun to play. You also have to realize that all the changes are not in the game yet especially for fighters and preists and the training spells have not been changed yet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A few things I have noticed that are broke still</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bind sight just does not do anything</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ice Spike has been made in to a level 12 spell  and a new spell Ice Blast has replaced it at level 15 ... Why? Alot of people have already upgraded Ice Spike to AD3 why not leave it at level 15 and put Ice Blast at level 12.</DIV> <DIV><BR>When buying a bag from the NPC merchant you have to have a empty slot in your inventory the bags will not go inside of another empty bag when u purchase them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It looks to be kind of pointless to upgrade your low level spells since the get replace every 3 lvls or so</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><BR>Now that Wizards and Warlocks are even up on DPS "Depending on the situation" Why do Warlocks not get a Evac or any utillity spells that are compareable </DIV><p>Message Edited by Collectall3 on <span class=date_text>08-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:15 AM</span>

<P>I also have a test character actually I just started only lvl 10 now but I noticed that bind sight does not seem to do anything ... anyone know what it is suppose to do? </P> <P>That sucks I upgraded my Ice Spike to adept 3 now it is a lower level spell <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I am kind of looking forward to the updates myself it is good to see that there are others who do not think " the sky is falling" there seems to be a lot of that going on and u are right most of the people doing the complaining are not even on the test server</P>

<DIV>Bind sight : </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You cast it on someone/thing else and see through their eyes.  Cast it on that wandering mob that is patrolling the hall and you see what he sees, around corners, into the next room.    Cast it on your scout, he sneaks where you couldn't and you get a first-person view.   Cast it on your opponent and get nice screenshots of yourself getting eaten. </DIV>

Bind Sight is much fun when you're the egg-mounted howitzer that always has to stand back.

<P>Your point about Ice Spike being replaced rapidly is a concern for me too.</P> <P>It seems that all my damage spells get replaced quickly.  The app1 of the new version is better than the app4 of the old version.  I also have seen many spells that do not scale between app1 - app4 and only have a small bump at adept1.</P> <P>I wonder what effect this will have on crafters?  What will be the point of spell upgrades if they are not upgrades and they are only good for a couple levels?  And who in their right mind would upgrade to adept 3 amymore except for very high level spells?</P> <P>Only 18 atm so have not seen the full spectrum but it is cause for some concern.</P>

<P>I don't think there is much worry about the market for App 4 upgrades -- they provide significant improvements in damage over App 1 (25-50% in the few I sampled just now) and in some cases make large differences in things like spell resists (+20% resist at App 1 to -10% resists at App 4 for some stuns).</P> <P>I agree that the Adept 3 market (if you can call it that) will be changed, but crafters generally make those to order and only rarely. I imagine in a month or two people will have a firm grip on what the prime spells to upgrade to Adept 3 will be.</P>

<P>I wonder if anyone else has noticed that, even though the damage done by an App I spell or skill is the same (or close to it) as it is at App IV, the resists against the App I spell are higher than the resist rate against the App IV version?</P> <P>... but i digress ... damage is the only that matters anyway.</P>

<P>There are several spells that have zero upgrade in my spell line.  Damage resist duration...nothing.</P> <P>Making a comlete list to bug.  </P> <P>Not all spells but some.</P>
