Have you even seen our spells now??? Heals cut in half. Reactives no longer stacking with older versions (BoV, SP, GI on same timers) Removed mitigation buffs Group ward for 800 or so hp given to us, whop de friggen do we get a lowbie Shaman spell!! Mezzs and Stun? I'm speechless... Now we're just enchanters than heal as well as a Paladin... Slightly improved nuke damage... I am a healer, give me back my heals. Trade them for these frauds you call nukes.

It looks like ALL heals were lowered in effectiveness (with the exception of shaman's wards which desperately needed to be improved). Not just templars. I think that this is because mobs are supposed to be hitting for less damage after the combat upgrade so all the priest classes are supposed to be rebalanced with that in mind.

Again, we will have to wait and see what happens as they tweak priests/fighters... I'm not ready to pronounce armageddon quite yet.

Its also important to note that not only has mob dmg been reduced, but fighters hp have been lowered as well as mob HP. So priests heals were lowered inline with these changes. Look at the big picture before you start screaming foul. All healers heals, bar shammies were lowered, not just templars. Templars getting stuns? Well Inquisitors have always had haste and a tiny dps buff( which is being boosted by 20%), so it seems templars are getting some utility now.

Stuns always featured in the EQ1 cleric spell lists. Im not surpised in the very least that they have been added to templars. A few sec stun might not seem great, but it provides extra time for the tank to regain agro, which isnt a bad thing. 1min timer doesnt sound too harsh either. Providing its a spell which is in my opinion meant to be used in those circumstances where the tank looses agro. If you have a decent tank in group and you know how to watch heal agro, you shouldnt need to stun that often.

Templars have had a stun since day 1 in EQ2. It's called prostrate. It is by far the most horrid spell in our line as it cost almost 400 power to cast, took about 10 seconds to cast, and only had a duration of 5 seconds. It also has little use when we solo or group. Our heals and debuffs are what drive us thorugh a group fight while our smites are what get us through solo play. I don't think I've ever seen one post of a templar being thankful for thier stun spell. I too am part of the crowd that says keep us strong healers. To make everyone heal equally well, it shouldn't take making all healers suck at healing.Templars have always had a healing edge because of our buffs/debuffs. I can uderstand our reactives and instant heals should be on par with other priests. Our buffs and debuffs are the class defining abilities of a templar to give them a healing edge. Now it seems we are to lose some of that definition making us wonde what our role is. So yes I guess a lot of othe priests got their wish. Templars now heal as well as you, but now no class heals well, instead of all classes healing well.

This is a matter of perspective and proportions. Templars heal for less. This is fact. So do Druids and Paladins. Shaman wards were also reduced. But (and I hate to agree with Moorgard), look at all sides of the situation. At the same time, wards now take mitigation into account. If you've looked at the new persona window you've seen that this is huge. Mitigation can get way up there now, meaning tanks will take far less damage. So monsters hit for less, tanks take less damage, and your spells heal for less. Seems like you'll see an improvement when actually playing the game and looking at health bars instead of raw numbers.

Keep the Templar a pure healer. Lets us heal and buff the tank. Please don't make the Templar a hybrid healer class. Make our current Stun better (no one uses it....ever), and keep the mezz, gimme another heal : ) Losing Parry is not that bad on Test, so far. I get more interruptions, but I can still heal/nuke fine while solo'ing. Odinn - 50 Templar Jinny - 20 Templar - Test
