View Full Version : Shirtless barbarians not working?

In the character creation screen the barbarian is shirtless. I read in the update notes that barbarians are supposed to be shirtless now. Problem is when I go into the actual game, my barbarian now has a shirt, and there is no way to remove it. Is that a bug? I'm not sure why barbarians would only be made shirtless in the character creation screen and not in game! Is there a file difference between the character creation models and in-game models that's causing this?

I seem to be the only one wondering whether we can play as shirtless barbarians. I kinda feel like everyone is looking at me weird right now.:smileyindifferent: *slowly backs out of the room......into a wall*

i wouldent worry about looking wierd. it seems everyone is to caught up over the guild stuff going on at the moment. im just wondering why iksar dont have the shirtless look considering the new scale patterns might be nice to look at when they are released.

Message Edited by shadowscale on 08-02-2005 06:30 PM

I'm not certain, but I thought the shirtless look was supposed to be on Live Update 13a?

But barbarians are merely ''bigger human'', so if barbarians can be shirtless in game, why not the others races? They should allow all male characters to be shirtless whatever the race.

Message Edited by cr0wangel on 08-03-2005 03:14 AM

How bout a choice? I want my char to have a shirt, but I can see where not having one for others would be cool.

I picture a naked ogre guardian fighting Vox... we don't need to see this! Tssssssssss.... (but I was serious about the shirt thing, why only barbarians?)

Pretty sure a few other races get a full-body woad.)

I just made a Barbarian and he had a shirt in the creation screen.

I know Wood Elves also have full body Woads, and I think another race too (Dwarves?).

I think /showshirt if put in should only effect it when you have no chest armor, I really don't think it is needed to hide that piece of armor. Granted /showhood does hide the helms, but that is a bit different since helms cover the hair and obscure the face, which is probably the most recognizable part of a character. Besides, if you are fighting bare chested to look tough, you should at least not have the armor on.

there's no need for such a command as /showshirtjust reduce the base-clothing to a loincloth (and some additional stuff for females) and put the rags as equipable gear into the game.

Try turning up your graphics settings. May fix it.

Would very much like to see the ability to hide a certain number of armour pieces to alter appearance. ie: you can hide your helmet and chest piece, or choose to hide your chest and gloves. I would also love to see the ability to hide only one shoulder piece. ie: one pauldron creates a cool gladiator look. :smileyhappy:

Just like to know why this is still not fixed? Created a Barb last night. Applied a cool Woad, everything looked really good. Logged into Test and dada he's wearing a shirt?? What gives?
