<DIV>In this new system for guild status points (GSP's), how does this work?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>each <EM><U>unique</U> </EM>account can contribute GSP's</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so you have one account with two toons in a single guild,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=ltr> <DIV>first toon has contributed 50k GSP's,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>second toon is a twink with 100k GSP's. </DIV></BLOCKQUOTE> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Which toon will the system pick?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=ltr> <DIV>will it pick the toon first created on the account?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>will it pick the first toon to join the guild?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>or</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>will it pick the toon with the most GSP's?</DIV></BLOCKQUOTE> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i like the idea of removing patrons but a few detail needs to be worked out.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Reloc</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>33 temp</DIV> <DIV>Befallen </DIV>

Then there's the situation where a player changes mains...

<P>From my understanding It will take the total of both.  If you have 12 people with 4 alts each it will divide the total status points from all 48 alts and divide by 12.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

It's worse -- they both count toward guild status points but not toward the divisor.  So, 6 people each with a twink will level twice as fast as 12 people all doing the same quests. <div></div>

<DIV>This makes sense of course becuase it's still the efforts of a single person even though they are playing multiple alts.  The fact that many of the heritge quests can be done so quickly is the problem.</DIV>

A person can only play one toon on an account at a time. So the guild with 6 people and 12 toons can only do six writs or HQs at a time. A guild with 12 accounts can do 12 writs or HQs at a time. I should balance out fairly evenly. In fact, the 12 player guild's players, with no alts, will level their characters faster, because they are not dividing time between alts and mains, and therefore will have access to more HQs, and higher point writs sooner than the 6/6 guild. </span><div></div>

<DIV>So, if I have 4 toons in a guild and 3 have GSP contributed, will it count all my toons with GSP into the total guild status?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sorry, I'm just a little confused.</DIV>

Yes, Deck-ra.  But your alts don't count toward the divisor. <div></div>

<DIV>hehehe so the best number of people to have in a guild is 24, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>each has a unique eq2 account, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>with 5 alts each so your total count would be 144 toons.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-----one account --------</DIV> <DIV>1st  toon 14k gsp's</DIV> <DIV>2nd toon 43k gsp</DIV> <DIV>3rd toon 500 gsp</DIV> <DIV>4th toon 65k gsp</DIV> <DIV>5th toon 32k gsp</DIV> <DIV>6th toon 22k gsp</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so this one account has aquired 176500gsp / 24accounts  = 7354gsp  <==== seems awlful low </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i probably got this wrong,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>can someone clarify this for me. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thanks</DIV>

<DIV>No.  Since the cap is only 24, any guild with more than 24 members, or active accounts, is going to eventually earn beyond the cap of a guild with 24 or less.  The reason is the divisor:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guild A:  6 members @ 50,000 point heritage quest = 8,333 points per member for that heritage quest</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guild B:  24 members @ 50,000 point heritage quest = 2,083 points per member for that heritage quest</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, it gets interesting...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guild C:  48 members @ 50,000 point heritage quest = 2,083 points per member for that heritage quest</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then, when every single guild and all alts (assume each has 6 alts) each complete that heritage quest:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guild A:  300,000 points (6 members * 8,333 points = 50,000 * 6 alts)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guild B:  300,000 points (12 members * 2,083 points = 50,000 * 6 alts)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guild C:  600,000 points (48 members * 2,083 points = 100,000 * 6 alts)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ultimately, guilds under 25 members lose out on higher earnings, not to mention hourly earn rates where a 25 plus member guild can potentially earn more per hour, and certainly beyond the ceiling that has been placed on a 24 or less member guild.</DIV>

In your numbers above, change the status in your toons from gsp to psp, and you got it right. </span><div></div>

<DIV>So in other words this is a great change.  Well, except for all those elitist folks who believe that guild level 30 is just for them.  The smaller the guild(closer to 6 accounts) you have the faster you are going to progress.  Fantastic news for small guilds, especially since it appeared we were going to get the shaft with the recent changes to the Live Patron system(not losing status from de-patroning/players leaving).  Now level 30 is actually a feasable goal for the smaller guilds.  Very nice improvement from SoE...  Hopefully it will actually work when it gets to the Live servers, but only time will tell that.</DIV>

<P>Not sure what system you are referring to Irenik, but you have it exactly opposite.  The more members a guild has, the better - not less.</P> <P>And I have no idea where you get the idea that 6 accounts is best.  The lowest divisor will still be 12, the highest 24.  That means guilds with in the range of 12-24 accounts are on equal footing.  Those with less are worse off, and those with more are drastically better off.</P>

<P>It's still a lot of work for 6 people. Doable?  Sure, but probably not realistic unless you are very, very hard core.  Are there people that will take advantage? Sure.  But the average 6 person guild is way too casual to ever reach 30.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>My guild has 9 accounts.  Currently whenever we do a writ or HQ, the GSP is divided by 12.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In the system on test, it will be divided by 9.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That's a win for this small guild and we would really appreciate the help.  We have been playing since EQ2 went live and would like to finally get some horses.  :smileyhappy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Those will less are then better, specialy considering that the divider is the number of accounts, and no longer the number of "patron characters". Small guilds will benefit from it, as "small guilds" have less than 12 accounts (which is like 20-30 characters maybe, depending on how long the players in it have been playing). As for the guilds within the range of 12-24 accounts are on equal footing, is not really right: they are on equal footing in regard of effort/member to level, not as reward/writ done. For the second point, 6 accounts guilds are at top.</span><div></div>
