Earned status is now divided by the number of unique accounts in your guild (minimum of 6, maximum of 24).

- Example 1: If you have 40 members in your guild (10 of which are alts) you'd have 30 unique accounts. That's over the maximum cap of 24, so any new guild status earned would be divided by 24.

- Example 2: If you have 4 members in your guild and you earn guild status, it will be divided by 6 (the minimum number).

If this is done all it will do is hurt any of the guilds that are trying to work with a 24 person raid system and not have more then 30-60 members in a guild. By doing this Sony you will make it so that large guilds have an advantage on small guild, and i know this is not your purpose.

Here is an example.

A guild with 30 people in it that are all unique accounts will be divided by 24 per writ.

A guild with 200 people in it that are all unique accounts will be divided by 24 per writ.

So here lies the problem. As a guild leader i strongly suggest people to do writs. Now on the guild that has 30 people i can see me getting 6-15 people doing writs and each of those people doing 3-4 writs in a day so if we have 15 people working and each does 4 writs in a day you will get 60 writs done that day, which is not bad xp seeing that it is divided by 24 now. Now for the Guild with 200 (notice please i used half of the 30 people in the last guild example) i can see me if i was there guild leader to force people to do writs a day. Saying if you log on i expect you to do just two writs today. Now lets say if 100 people of the 200 log on and do 4 writs each..... WOW total of 400 writs done easily and only divided by 24 bam in 2 hours we got guild a guild level.

As a guild leader and an active patron, i am able to pump out 2 writs by the time my call of qeynos comes up and then get new writs and be back there in 10 mins doing them again. So 1 person can pump out 4 writs no problem within 2 hours.

My solution.

It is not fair that a smaller guild is punished by trying to have only select people with it so they can raid and progress as a team. If instead of having a set number such as 6 min and 24 maximum. If you are going to removed the concept of patrons from guilds and have Earned status which is now divided by the number of unique accounts in your guild . Then would it not be better to add the amount of unique accounts in the guild and then divide it by a percent.

For example:

If you divide the people in each guild by 66% to equal what there guild status returns, then:

30 people in the guild divided by 66% or 2/3 = 10. So that guild would have there writs divided by 10.

200 people now in a guild would mean that all there writs would be divided by 66 after each writ.

Now the big guild leaders would say hey that's not fair, we should be able to exploit the system, but that's not fair to other guilds at all. What needs to be looked at is what is fair to every guild on eq2. If you follow thru with test update #13a you are going to hurt a lot of guilds and you will watch a lot of the bigger guilds fly up a few levels in a single day. Sony please consider what i am saying here because most guilds are around 25 -100 people and the average would be around 60 people per guild. So if you have 60 people in your guild would it not be fair to say that all writs are divided by 20 or 24? I am not asking that you stick with the % to divide it by but please consider this solution.

Thank you

Avek (kithicor)

Leader of Legacy

50 guardian/50 blacksmith

Its not the strength of the arm that counts; its the strength of the soul.

Message Edited by Thainos on 07-29-2005 01:32 AM
