<DIV>I just have a couple questions on the new update. What happens to the status gained by an alt in a guild? A lot of the smaller guilds and even the bigger ones have alts in them. What happens to their staus in the new system? Does it just not count towards the guilds total? If that is true what happens with the status already gotten does it go away? Please don't flame I am just trying to understand the full impact this update will have on my guild.</DIV>

<DIV>I don't think EQ2 knows the difference between an alt and a main character.  So most are guessing that all characters in a guild can contribute to the guild status.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

As it stands on Test at present, there is no differentiation between alts and mains.  My alts have little zeros next to their name now, where my main has however many thousand status it is I've earned.  That's why it's dividing by account numbers rather than toons -- because four members of my hundred-someodd member guild are me, and six are someone else, and three are another person... Earned status per character remains the same as it has been.  The difference is that now every time anyone in the guild does something that would earn personal status (heritage quests, writs, or finding and selling those status doodads), they earn guild status as well.  For the sake of argument, let's posit a twenty-player guild in which every single player has six guilded toons: that's a 120-member guild, as counted in-game.  Every single one of those 120 toons could earn guild status, and the amount that goes to the guild would be the amount of personal status/20, because that's how many distinct player accounts are in the guild. <div></div>

So how does that work if your a non-patron and you would of earned status already, like I myself have earned like 15,000 status, but those were from heritage quests and I wasn't a patron. When this goes live will that 15,000 status now contribute to the guild or will it be like it never existed?

<P>Thank you this eases my fears and helps a lot.</P> <P>To answer the question about non-guilded status points. Unless they have changed this with the update personal status stays with you in and out of a guild. When not part of a guild you do not have access to the points you've earned but as soon as you join a guild you have access to those points. I hope that helped</P>
