I am a carpenter Lvl30 and something I have noticed so far that bothers me is this. I was lucky and got a faysteel anklet drop that I want to craft into a sconce (I want the status reduction it gives) so I bought the Advanced Carpenter volume 30 so I can craft it into a bar then plate. Now again I am a carpenter and I got the recipe from the advanced carpenter book but the recipe for making a feysteel bar doesn't use carpentry or even geomany....it uses metalshaping. HUH???? That isn't even my artisan class and I have no crafting "spells" that cover it like my carpentry skills do. Why is this? Why do I now have to hire someone to turn it into the plate that me recipe should allow me to do? Now I know part of the responses are going to say I do have the skill metalshaping but all I have is the one set we got at lvl4 artisan. The tradeskill spells I have for carpentry let me use progress to increase endurance of the item I should be able to do the same with the Feysteel using the carpentry recipe. Is this a bug? I have filed a bug report but have gotten no response so I am posting it here hoping to get some kind of answer.
