<DIV>Yes, there are lots of posts on a new patron system since the impending changes to guilds no longer losing points when patrons leave. Many have suggested some good points on how this could be abused and the patron system trivialized, and others have asked for a revamp of the system. So, I have my own idea, and here it is: make it so that status points earned are higher for those that have already accumulated guild status points. The more a person accumulates, the more they earn doing a heritage quest, writ, or raid status loot. That would stop the swap out abuse people would employ, for a person loses all accumulated points whenever they switch out. To make it so that small guilds can compete, they could either set a patron cap, or have points divided by total number of active accounts in the guild. (Yes, a person can have alts, but it still takes the same amount of work, and a person can only play one character on an account at a time.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Some basic numbers to give an idea of how it works:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A person has 0 status points:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Writ - 50 points</DIV> <DIV>Heritage Quest - 200 points</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A person has 10,000 status points:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Writ - 100 points</DIV> <DIV>Heritage Quest - 400 points</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A person has 50,000 status points:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Writ - 300 points</DIV> <DIV>Heritage Quest - 1,200 points</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am not sure about scale yet, but that can be adjusted to whatever seems fair. I also prefer if all persons in a guild can contribute to the guild, rather than having to wait for someone to leave, or drop their post. Someone else can suggest how that can be done fairly.</DIV>
