<DIV>An idea that I had thought of, and not sure if it has been stated yet... is this</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When a person is removed from patronage, their guild exp stays with the guild.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BUT when any new patron is added, they go through a warm up stage of 15 days or so.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When a person is first marked as a patron, they will contribute a small ammount of guild exp.  A fraction of the full ammount.  Over the course of a few days the exp that is towards the guild exp total will increase by a percent.  On the last day the ammount increase would be most dramatic (ex: 75% total to 100%) so that ppl would desire to wait the full period before finishing up their guild exp and moving patronage on to another person.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This idea would stop the abuse of switching patrons every time someone needs to complete a HQ and so on...</DIV> <DIV>Just an idea =D</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~50 halfling troubador from Butcherblock~</DIV><p>Message Edited by Crombie on <span class=date_text>07-19-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:01 AM</span>

Actually, that's an interesting idea: sort of an enforced probation.  It would definitely stop a patron switch right before hitting a raid target or doing a heritage weekend.  On the other hand, newly-formed guilds or newly-joined members would have to wait two weeks before really doing anything, and given what a massive pain in the butt it is to do heritage quests or get the right people together for a raid, that could really stink. Definitely a concept to think about, though. <div></div>

<P>Hmmm, well since the ame keeps track of when a guild was formed, it would be easy enough to give a new guild a week or 2 the ability to grant patronage without penalty.. That would help the new guild get off their feet. </P> <P>~50 troubador halfling from Butcherblock~</P>

<DIV>Right now, contributed status is divided by the number of patrons (minimum 12).  I think we should just take out patrons all together and make contributed status divided by 24 for all guilds.  If guilds will no longer lose status when members leave or are removed from patron status, why even have patrons?</DIV>
