<DIV>I just completed the new Tradeskill quest with a total newbie character. The quest was very intensive, but it was a complet sample of what you can craft. Two problems I did have:</DIV> <DIV>I didn't know who i was looking for to start the quest, maybe the person should have the title delegate in their name.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was not granted citizenship at the end of the quest. I thought it was a really great idea that we could have an alternate route to getting citizenship, but had to collect those infernal coins anyway <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. Did I miss something, or is it not working the way it should?</DIV>

<P>The devs know about this.  Beghn has said he is working on making citizenship happen properly.  He also is looking at making the reward for the quest better matched to the amount of work you have to do.</P> <P>Edowen</P>

i only got to play for an hour before the server came down last night, but i couldn't find anyone to talk to that updated the first step of the quest. let alone finish it. Granted i didn't look around much, but i did find my wholesaler society and joined it. then i hailed all the people in it. no luck. figured i'd hail the workshop person next. just saying this as somethign that seemed confusing to me, this is supposed to make gettign started as a tradeskiller more imformed. well the first step is very uninformative. <div></div>

No one advanced this quest. </li> <li>I joined the Wholesaler society. the quest did not advance.</li> <li>I hailed all 4 people in the tradeskill instance. the quest did not advance.</li> <li>I thought maybe i need to ding level 4. i did, rehailed everyone. the quest did not advance.</li> </ol> umm this isn't any easier... <div></div>

I was able to advance it by hailing the proper NPC (a new NPC) in the wholesaler instance. <div></div>

Can non newbie characters complete this quest, as the reward is a tunic with tradeskill bonus? if so how can you do it? <div></div>

i seen the new NPC. she's standing in the way of the stairs i might add. but she didn't advance the quest. This happened in the wholesaler instance in Scale yard if anyone else can test that out. <div></div>

Does SOE intend to start implementing such gear for all lvls in the future? or otherwise is there any way for higher lvl players to come back and get this?<BR>

<P>I begin to think it's the NPC in Scale Yard that is bugged. He is called Talwith Darkcloud and is standing at the top of the stairs (close to the Wholesaler).</P> <P>He won't respond to me, but I know my kerra friend had no problems with his NPC in the tradeskill society in Stonestair Byway.</P>

Hi all, I'm not new to EQ2 but I've only just started playing on test.  I've got a 33 provisioner and a 23 sage on Splitpaw so I have a bit of an idea about tradeskills but for this quest I've tried to remember what it was like when I first started playing (I never played EQ so I was a total n00b).  Ok then, the new tradeskill quest, well, I haven't finished it yet, I'm only on the 3rd part but already I have a couple of suggestions. Firstly I must agree about the positioning of the delegate, in freeport s/he's placed at the bottom of the stairs near the broker, as it's designed for newbies it might be better to put him/her near the entrance and as was suggested put delegate in the name somewhere. Secondly I think a bit more explanation might be needed, maybe this quest isn't the right place but I don't think the tradeskill tutorial you get covers everything that's needed.  When I started playing I had no idea about countering events, didn't even know where to look for the icons that countered them fortunately a RL friend explained it to me but it would've been nice if the game had told me about it. And thirdly, I found the delegate, did the first quest (make some white tea) and then got the next part, the alchemist bit, make a poison, which I was told was done with a vial, some resin and a suspension at the chemistry table.  Now if I look at this like a newbie would I think it's very confusing, firstly I would go to the chemistry table and click on the recipe.  Ok, I see I have to make a poison vial, can't do that at the chemistry table, have to go to the workbench.  So over to the workbench I go, quick look at the recipe, I need isonoid loam, wait a minute I don't have a recipe for that I've only got one for isonoid reagent.  My view on this part is it should either have a bit more of an explanation to it or be split up in to smaller parts. <div></div>

Useing the buffs and explaining What happens and such. I know at least 2 ppl who tryed tradeskilling and left fustrated because they did not know how to handle it till they got an explanation of how it works.Well but i guess here lys the problem. If you do it and then change the system, you might make them wrong. It might be too complicated for them to keep them up to date. What would be a nice thing is a category view for the Skills in the Tradeskill area. So you can have them grouped by the skill they counter events for. This would make the introduction into TS a little easyer.. and well alter it would help too.
