<DIV>kk</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Like some insider info here from you test subjects....erp -- Tester's :smileytongue::smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> <HR> </DIV> <DIV><EM>Many of the NPCs around Norrath now have a chance to drop items that the major political factions in each of city are after. Be on the lookout for these new types of Scrying Stones, Amulets, Sealed Documents, and Relics. There are different varieties of each of these items for each level range.</EM> </DIV> <DIV> <HR> </DIV> <DIV>The Status Loot drops...they are going to be specific to a certain faction.  For example -- "Sealed Documents" I would take to the Freeport Militia for status and FACTION gain?  Also if I understand this correctly, this will be in addition to completing writs, but not count as a writ, or will it count as a like  a reverse writ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanx in advance</DIV>

<DIV>As best we can tell so far (the server didn't come up until 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time so there will be a lot more testing than just the last 12 hours) there's no faction attached; it's just a bit of status parallel to a bit of coin from vendor trash loot.  More people will look at it today though, I'm sure.</DIV>

No faction, and you have to take the loot to the appropriate NPC for that tier. So, for instance, a T2 status item gets taken to the NPC on the Seafury boat in South Freeport who is the same NPC that hands out the T2 writs. The other Seafure NPCs will not give you status for turning in that item.Once you know about the 4 types of items (coins, scrolls, amulets, artifacts...?), it's easy to match them up with the faction that is interested in those types of items.(A few of the items are bugged, none of the NPCs seems to be interested in them.)

This will be sweet, although I myself dont really plan on buying these drops off broker, I can't imagine the prices they will bring, this may help dramatically if it gives faction with it.  I know I wanted to lean more toward mage faction myself but do to the fact that everyone that I normally do writs with was doing the three writs in everfrost and totally ignoring the one writ in lavastorm my SQ mage faction kinda got blown out of the water.  So all I have to say is I would gladly trade with anyone T5 SQ mage hand ins for those of the other factions. <div></div>

Osen was putting together a list... I'm pretty sure she's /bug'd the items, but I'll ask her when I see her online tomorrow (Tuesday). All of the items that I've found so far have worked.

Other testing (one of our guild's members is doing the BBC by killing greys in Antonica):27 drops in 540 mobs, or 1:20 for the 100-point status loot in about 2.5 hours. You'd still be better off by going and doing level-appropriate writs.

All status items can be turned in for cash <b>*or*</b> status. (That was changed in the last few days on Test, the original cash value for the items was 2cp, which would've resulted in large quantities of them on the broker for cheap.)I don't have any hard and fast numbers for their monetary worth (only second-hand reports). Sounded like their cash value is equivalent to that tier's "uncommon" loot. One value I heard for the 500 point items would result in broker prices of at least 75sp. Given the scarcity, I'd expect broker prices to be more in the 1gp or 2gp range for one of those 500pt items. So for 4000 status, you'd have to spend between 6 and 8 gold. That's a pretty decent chunk of coin if you're trying to buy status.

6-8 gold for a 1 writ worth of status.. no thanks :smileyhappy:
