<DIV>I am very disappointed by the changes to the robe of the Invoker/Golden Efreeti Boots. They not only changed the base regen amount but also the stackabilty. This is balancing??? Okay but,,</DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#6699ff>Where are the nerfs for raid aquired mana regen gear? No mention of those.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#6699ff>Where is the nerf for stackable haste items? ex: ancient slayer rings +FBSS</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#6699ff>Where is the nerf for base regen/stackability of HP items?</FONT></DIV> <DIV>Waiting.</DIV> <DIV>Waiting.</DIV> <DIV>Waiting.</DIV> <DIV>Oh yeah. I feel balanced.</DIV> <DIV>I am a long time EQlive player, a member of a hardcore raiding guild. I've spent my days and nights in Citadel of Anguish and yah I have the gear to show for it.</DIV> <DIV>But in EQ2 I'm approaching the game more casually, I am enjoying going through the multitudes of quests that Sony has designed, and I'm having a ball doing it with various characters.</DIV> <DIV> I loved the fact that fabled gear could randomly drop and it wasn't just restricted to the hardcore raiders.. Everyone with a few hours and friends has a chance at some nice gear through questing and lucky drops. </DIV> <DIV>Just because someone belongs to "X" guild doesn't mean that they are better equipped than Joe Schmoe guildless (and certainly doesn't mean they are more skilled). </DIV> <DIV>However now I see Sony taking steps to draw the line in the sand. </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc0033>You raid??</FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#6699ff>Stand over here and bask in the glory of uber and virtually untouched items.</FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc0033>Ahhh you are a casual player who enjoys questing and spending time with friends?</FONT> <FONT color=#99ffff><FONT color=#6699ff>Stand over in that dank mold infested corner over there and be happy with the scraps that are thrown to you and perhaps... just maybe if you farm your little heart out you might make enough cash to buy the raid guild's cast offs. Or you can always go to one of our new station servers and pay REAL cash for better gear.</FONT> </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc0033>Have a nice day.</FONT></DIV> <DIV>"Balancing" gear that is a non raider's chance at being well equipped and NOT addressing gear attained through raiding and other stat modifiers is *shakes her head* ..</DIV> <DIV>well just as wonderful as being a Fury who doesn't </DIV> <DIV>Nuke</DIV> <DIV>Dot</DIV> <DIV>Or Heal </DIV> <DIV>anywhere near as well as our "equal" partners in nature the Wardens and being promised since Live Update 8 by Moorguard that it we would be balanced. Honestly...I'm a little frightened of Sony's idea of balance now.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Ishiiva on <span class=date_text>06-28-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:21 AM</span>

Raiders' BotM items got smacked with the nerfbat too this time around, not just the RoI/GEB. Next line down on patch notes mentions it.

<DIV>I'm gonna have to strongly disagree with many of the points you made in this thread...I myself am in a raiding guild, so you may think i'm being biased, but frankly i don't give a flying ****, i feel like i'm being fair just like you do....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1.) You complain how gebs/Invoker got nerfed *this is fine to complain about* but this is in now way just affecting you "casual" players, if you ever inspect casters in high end, crazy raiding guilds you will see ALLLLLLLLL/[expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] near most with Invoker and GEBs on! They are just as [Removed for Content] off that these items no longer have as good of regen items as they once were.</DIV> <DIV>2.) You complain how other effects on items aren't being nerfed such as haste items and what not...Lets be honest here i don't care how much haste you have *and btw the majority of haste items are EASILY gotten by casual players* i will never help out a group/raid ANYWHERE NEARLY close to as significant as having crazy power regen, which tbh some people were having with Invoker/GEBs/2 Nightblood rings...etc etc etc. </DIV> <DIV>3.) You say that the difference between hardcore raiders and casual players is too large especially compared to EQ1. Uhhhh well i'm the opposite of you, I played EQ1 for a couple years and was not in a raiding guild, and let me tell you NOT A SINGLE RAIDING PERSON HAD ANY OF THE SAME GEAR AS I DID. In EQ2 you have the chance of a crazy nice item to drop in a single group and EQ1 you did not, in EQ2 you have the oppurtunity to buy crazy nice items, where as in EQ1 all the crazy nice items were NO DROP. And I hate to burst your bubble us people who spend 20+ more hours a week playing EQ2 raiding and so forth deserve to have better gear then all of you casual players. If people have the time/desire to play almost twice as long as most people play in a week then they should be getting the gear that casual people get *this by no means makes people with nicer gear better players though mind you*</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Those are my views take em or leave em........</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pretty Paladin from Permafrost server</DIV>

Quit the game and go back to EQ1, I have no problems with raiders getting nice equipment, but the elitist attitude get REAL OLD. I play alot to, but I choose not to jump from guild to guild looking for the ubber Raiding guild. But according to you I should suck. Bahh

What WAS there is this: We are going to shoot for LU#6, then.. based on internal testing and talks we are pushing it back to 7, then a bit later, we are pushing this back into a total revamp, simply because we don't want to do this piecemeal. I swear.. what is it with people are car analogies on here.. This is much more a this project will take X amount of time based on what we know now. then.. Based on looking at the data, this project is going to take a lot longer than we originally thought it would. I really think you don't quite understand.. the overall balance of the game comes FIRST and FOREMOST. Not class balancing, but overall balancing. And so when they started making priest changes they realized how much this was going to change everything else as well they realized they were going to have to go in and make changes accross the board, pretty much doing a revamp of thier whole system. </span><div></div>

Because things change.. and change quickly. </span><div></div>
