<DIV>Ok i read about the 50% bonus xp to help people lvl faster on Test server so i decided to check into it. I got the whole patching done and loaded test eq file.. I made a character and clicked to skip the Tutorial. When i arrived logged into the island i selected to become a mage,..killed 2 gobs..got the gloves ,which was the reward for the first quest from the guy who gives you the class options to become,... i then went to the mage tower and accepted the first mage quest.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All this on test server gave me 59.8% xp</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then i got really curious and loaded up the regular version and went into Oggok and made a new character and did exactly the same things i did on the test server... the xp total was 56%.....now i don't know but that doesn't seem like a 50% increase to me...am i not doing something right? Is there some command to turn on this additional xp bonus?</DIV>

maybe the 50% xp bonus doesnt come from completing quests but pure grinding mobs?

<DIV>No there should be a 50% bonus on all things. Hows about killing mor than two mobs befor making a decision like that? <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The bonus is nice</DIV>

In fact, vitality won't show up on your XP bar until you hit level 4 (even though you're earning vitality in the background from the start). So, you may have been dealing with a rounding error, or some other rounding issue when dealing with very small amounts of XP.Bonus XP is on by default, but you can toggle it with the <b>/toggle_bonus_xp</b> command.

Trust me, in the higher levels it really shows. I blew through the 30s in just a few weeks (and though about a dozen crafting levels, as well). It also shows when you realize that it takes maybe two hours, if you're dragging, to level a toon to 10. (Well, maybe more if it's a class you've never done before, and don't know where/how to do the class quest.) And I'm zipping through 40 with far less play time than it took me to get through 30. (The 50% bonus went in when I was at 36 or so.) Don't forget that if you just made and are playing a toon, your vitality sucks. Once you've got vitality and the 50% XP bonus, leveling is very quick. Almost too quick, in fact; I still haven't explored Zek or the EL fully, nor finished most of my T4 quests, and I'm already launching off through T5 content. In theproy I could /toggle_bonus_exp but I want to catch up to the 50s in my guild too much, hehe. <div></div>

This <b>bonus</b> is in effect all the time, on top of any Vitality <b>bonus</b> you receive." So it does look like only mobs give the xp bonus and not quests. This was taken from this post - http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=testfeed&message.id=17067&query.id=56682#M17067<div></div>

<DIV>Quests yield the same whether you have Vitality or not, because quest exp does not use/eat Vitality.</DIV> <DIV>On that train of thought, the 50% bonus should not include quests.</DIV> <DIV>I do not know how much exp is given from Vitality (isnt that double normal exp?), but I would suspect 50% bonus would equal 50% more than what max exp you could receive off any mob/encounter.</DIV> <DIV>Just my assumption.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
