<DIV> <DIV>I'm Here to ask the devs to take a look at the Cryptic Metallic Robe compared to the rest of the line of armor. It seems as a over sight that they left off about 7 or 8 skill points from the robe. Also one of the effects is only triggered from mele combat which is wrong. Here let me explain....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cryptic Metallic Robe / VLA</DIV> <DIV>12int , 57 power, 37health, 7agi, 400mental, 440heat</DIV> <DIV>effects:: Baffle, Slip</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Crytic Metallic Coat / LA</DIV> <DIV>21agi, 52power, 46health, 4sta, 12str, 400mental, 440heat</DIV> <DIV>effects::weakness, IceBlast</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> As you can see the Coat has 21agi compared to the robe which ONLY HAS 12int...Also note the Coat has 4sta and 12str where the Robe has NONE. One would say the ROBE is missing some stat points here because why would you make the Coat so much better then the Robe? That would make no sence.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> Next let me touch on the effects on the Robe. Baffle = 15% to decrease threat by 195-325 when mob IS STRUCK...</DIV> <DIV>Now we all no that no VLA wearer is in there meleing. The reason is #1 we cant hit the high level mob dude to low caps on mele skills and #2 we get killed in 1 hit from raid mobs. So I ask you SOE...Why put a effect on a VLA robe that REQUIRES you to MELE??? This boggles my mind really.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> How do we fix this robe? Its pretty easy really. #1 add 9 int more to the robe to put it in line with other armor in this same set. #2 fix the effect Baffle to work from spells hitting and not mele or both. If that cant be done then change the effect compleatly to a diffrent one that would be usefull to a pure spell caster.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thank you for your time reading and I hope to see this ROBE fixed soon <IMG height=16 src="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif" width=16 border=0></DIV></DIV>

<P>I believe the coat is medium armor I got a cryptic metallic tunic and that one is LA</P> <P>I agree they should look at that melee part as vla should be caster orientated so should proc on % casted.</P> <P> </P> <P>On a side note while I like the tunic really much, why is it that all LA seems to be orientated on brawler classes?</P> <P> </P>

<P>All the Rallosian armor was caster (int/wis) friendly.</P> <P>Honestly, I see roughly 50/50 on brawler friendly/priest friendly LA armor.</P> <P> </P> <P>I do agree the Robe needs some upgrading... hopefully they will look at that very soon.</P> <P> </P>

<P>In SoE eyes, the robe is working perfectly because owner can't get any benefit. You ask for a fix just waste your time. If you ask for a more nerf version, I think tomorrow patch will nerf it. But I know if the BS guys will reply like this :</P> <P>"As VLM can use by all class like fighter, priest, scout not only mage. They still can get the credit. And I have talked to the devs. They told me the robe is designed for fighter only when they don't need not to tanking. Actually I have checked the states. 12int,57power already overpower to mage. I think we will take a look on it hope next patch will let the states make sense to mage like 10int, 40power, 30health".</P>

Yea, the robe is FABLED, so its supposed to be good. Anyway, as to the Baffle proc on the robe. Wizards have a spell line that gives a 5% chance to stifle 'when struck' just as the Baffle proc does. Now, this applies to any time the mob is struck (with melee), from ANY person in the group, not just the wizard. IE if you have people dual-wielding and hitting the mob repeatedly, the proc goes off a LOT. I would assume it works this way with the robe. Of course this proc is only going to be useful when you are grouping, because hate reduction does you no good when you are soloing. What you have to wonder is if the proc is going off from other melee people hitting it, is does it reduce THEIR hate, or YOUR hate? Also, I agree it needs a buff to the amount of int it uses. <div></div>

<P>Further to this post here is the stats only list on the cryptic chest pieces dropped in the Meeting of Minds raid instance:</P> <P><!--StartFragment --><!--StartFragment -->7sta, 16agi,17str (cryptic metallic cuirass) 40 points</P> <P>6sta, 16agi, 18str (cryptic reinforced tunic) 40 points</P> <DIV><!--StartFragment --> <DIV>21agi, 4sta,12str (cryptic metallic coat) 37 points</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>12int , 7agi (cryptic metallic robe) 19 points</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So the Robes total stat points are half the rest. Surely this is not intentional? Same mob, same instance, same "cryptic" series, same chest slot, all have twin proc affects ( correct me if I am wrong here only 90% sure).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Conclusion: oversight or mistake but easily fixed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Inq</DIV> <DIV>Najena</DIV></DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Inquisiter on <span class=date_text>08-31-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:28 AM</span>
