<DIV>Is there a huge point to nerfing the usefulness on the item when we get nothing anyways? All the raids I have ever been on I have see 1 VLA piece drop compared to all the hundreds of Heavy and Medium pieces and weapons and this has been confirmed by numberous guilds and posters. When is the last time you saw a FABLE VLA item? It is no secret that casters in guilds have like no fable items and tanks/scouts may be running around with like 4-6 pieces, etc u get my point here. There is some jewelery and stuff we can wear for more mana (incombat) regen but even alot of thas melee stats attached to it or at least the ones I saw drop from raid mobs. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you are going to nerf fix this problem too!!!</DIV> <DIV>No one wants to raid forever just to get another sheild or dual weapon they can't wear, balance those loot tables. Raiding isnt all about loot but how fun is it as a caster sitting there for like 6 months maybe more and never seening anything drop at all for VLA, while the same melee stuff dropped so many times that the items are running out homes. And NOW U TAKE another piece away with the robe nerf (which quest starter is as rare as a dam master in the first place)!. No I am not mad/bitter because I just bought this robe and got burned, I have had this robe forever and I got my use out of. However, I am very angry because we already get almost no Fable/loot upgrades and no you are taking away another piece of loot we can use. GEB are easy to get and any guild that can raid a X2 mob will get them so the robe is basically useless. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I guess it is good for the medium wears again though because now that you nefed the effect they dont have to give up more armor if they want the regen......cause no one gets it, no decision there, thanks for holding their hand again by taking our choice. While everyone else is slapping back on their fable Breast plates etc we will be back to the few robes we got. And yes I know there is some VLA, I am not saying no fable items at all drop but it is very rare compared to the heavier armors on the top of the fact that they can wear all the armours classes below them too. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>well thanks for reading, sorry about the spelling <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Iceheart</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>P.S. SOULTION -- maybe not to make it completely useless and since one is just an easy HQ, make it so they still stack etc (if u must) but keep the robe at 20 a tic and the boots at 16. At least then the robe has a little bit of the point. Or the combination they give 20 instead of the 40 they use too........No point in over nerfing is there? making useless item. </DIV><p>Message Edited by Iceheart on <span class=date_text>06-16-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:54 AM</span>

I have a nice pair of Cryptic Boots from the Lich instance. I would like to see many more pieces though. I've also seen the Bonecasters Pantaloons and the Arcane Wristguards, both VLA pieces. But they are much much more infrequent then all of the shields, boots, gloves, and weapons that drop all the time. I think everyone in my guild has a shield, pair of boots, gloves, and a royal great flail from Zalak. <div></div>

Cryptic boots are pointless when gebs have better stats and any other item you get like tablet of the cryptkeeper wont stack with because of the battlement of the mind. <div></div>

Well, I think the reason there isn't as much VLA on raids is because mage archtype isn't as dependent on equipment as other types. Other than the high intelligence for increased power, they don't really need equipment as much. Why, with or without the armor they mitigate damage like crap, but stuff like the invoker robe gave every class a good advantage. Power regain stuff is really powerful equipment. Frankly other than the intelligence stuff for power you dont' need equipment. Unless they make stuff that gives combat art casting haste maybe than you will be more equipment dependent. Tell stuff like that you don't need equipment as bad and thats why I don't think there is as much. I mean increase strength is increase damage for scouts and fighters and haste is a DPS boost. But for mages the better there ability the more damage they do. Thats why I think there isn't as much VLA equipment for them.

<DIV>Ok so because casters are NOT dependant on items the loot tables should NOT be adjusted? I will refrain from useing profanity and respond to you the best way I can. Tanks and Scouts are dependant on gear yes, but guess what? CASTERS ARE DEPENDANT ON POWER. You just made the case of why they shouldn't ever think about nerfing the only 2 pieced of equipment that actually benefited CASTERS! It wouldnt matter what stupid procs they add on fabled gear. The fact is the only thing that benefits casters is power regen. Now because of [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]ing off tanks, scouts, and healers taking advantage of this combination of items we get beaten with a nerf stick. WHY I ask you should I sit here and take it when theres nothing else in the game that can improve my character. Power regen isnt really all that significant for casters when we can still use it up more than we recover. And as things stand right now INT does absolutely nothing for us. We get 1 [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]ing extra power per int over 200. Now I ask you again. What do I have to look forward to when every 1 out of 100 raids produces something I can actually use and I have to fight over it like dogs with the rest of the casters in my guild. I seriously hope soe takes a second to realize the huge diservice this. And thats both the rediculous nerfing of GEBs and Invoker added to the fact that our fabled gear sucks chunks. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ONE ANGRY WIZARD</DIV>

I'll have to agree on this, as a 47 enchanter and actually finally having some money I've been searching the broker every night for the past few months on top of the raids and the only fabled loot I have seen has been the same old boots that are basically trash if you have the Legendary J-boots or the GEBs. I have seen a few casters with fabled VLA but it has been few and far between. <div></div>

<font color="#ffff66">I've got 4 left side VLA fabled and some right side ones, but guess what - as long as the effects on them require you to a) hit the [Removed for Content] mob or b) get hit by the [Removed for Content] mob - its all pretty useless.</font><font color="#ffff66"> </font><font color="#ffff66">I've seen the threat reduction proc on my robe go off twice in 8 weeks. I play every day , and as a coercer I get slapped around a fair bit. It's gone off twice! Once to some dogs in nek 2.0 and once in response to Darathars AE - he resisted the effect btw. I've never seen my shoulders or my necklace proc at all. </font><font color="#ffff66"> </font><font color="#ffff66"> </font><font color="#ffff66">The whole concept of having to hit (melee) or being hit to make it work is absurd for caster classes - in fact it's beyond absurd - it's into the realm of complete disbelief , for my part anyways.</font><font color="#ffff66"> </font><font color="#ffff66">If something in this game needs to be fixed it's caster gear procs and effects.</font> <div></div>

Obviously you've never seen my guildmate's Necromancer on Oggok. Most all of his gear is Fabled. Borxx, Sokusek's Hand and Arch Lich seem to drop most of the VLA gear I've seen. If your guild leader(s) is a heavy or medium class, you can be sure that they are probably manipulating the raids to go after more mobs that drop gear suited to them. Besides, the tanks and scouts are the ones getting hit, they need the protection. Priests and Mages sit back casting spells, and mana regen is more important than Fabled armor to slightly increase your stats. <div></div>

<P>hmm as a priest i dont usually sit back and cast i position myself rip away while healing.</P> <P>Also theres this little thing called soloing I sure as hell notice the difference with my cryptic reinforced tunic on nice procs tho most fabled la is geared towards brawlers (the tunic is no exception).</P> <P>The stats on fabled armor can give us a bigger powerpool/mana regen too etc. so even for priests/mages fabled armor would be nice, especially if they would finally make it so that armor procs at a % when you cast a spell/heal also the +stats are not little they are AWESOME in most cases of fabled armor.</P> <P>Also its kinda lame if its meant to be the way that scouts/fighters get all the good armor and wizards and priests get [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]=> or all look the same cause were all wearing rare crafted armor for instance.</P> <P>I agree jewelry is nice for priests and mages tho everyone likes em its nothing especially made for casters/priests.</P> <p>Message Edited by quetzaqotl on <span class=date_text>06-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:24 AM</span>
