<DIV>Can we please change it where Mage's can only wear very light armor and nobody else. Im tired of seeing fighters running around in robes. We have to compete with ever class when our selection is already short as it is. THX</DIV>

Well, if the fighters are running with robes, it is them that lose, not us.

We do lose cause we are losing armor to them plus it makes prices go up.

Patience. Wait until the Big Combat Revision goes in.My mind boggles at Fighters (other than Brawler-types) running around in robes. The only reason I can think that they would is because Defense is so overpowered, to the point where some Fighters just don't <i>need</i> heavy armor, and the Fighters want some effect that the robe grants. When the Big Combat Revision goes in Fighters will <i>not</i> want to be running around in robes if what I've read is any indication. Brawlers maybe, as it will not be a huge Mitigation loss and robes just look better on a Monk than leather armor, but not any plate-type Fighter.

Which leads to another issue. People buy robes just for fashion reasons :/

Yes, they are definitely bought for fashion because they are about the closest things to actual "clothes" the game provides right now.  Now, as for fighters in robes, I do think it is silly save for maybe a Brawler type.  I can say, however, that it is anything but silly for a scout to wear a robe, or a priest. In both cases, there are times when the added stats make it worth the mitigation loss because we aren't supposed to be getting hit in the first place. I can completely understand the mage perspective on this though.  But, I would like to think that there has to be some sort of better solution to this, and one that adds to the game instead of takes away. <div></div>

<P>There is any easy solution that adds .....</P> <P>allow all classes to wear all armour types.</P> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If non-mages can wear VLA to get the WIS on it why can a mage not wear armour with INT on it?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I do not understand the current asymmetric way of things. A fighter can get a robe but a mage cannot pull on heavy boots? Where is the sense in that?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The current situation is only going to get worse with the combat changes. The demand for items with good WIS (and probably INT) on them will rise significantly.</DIV>

I promise you after GEB and the robe of the invoker no longer stack you won't see heavy armor wearers in a robe anymore. /duck <div></div>

Other vla boots with regen, like cryptic boots, stack fine. (ofcourse getting those is very hard)</span><div></div>
