Am I crazy or do we still not have a group looking for player tab? I thought this was great idea in EQ1. Why don't we have it here? I think we should.

I agree. It would make things so much easier.

BTW. I was on the A2 at Ft. Hood and the A1 in Korea. Of course now they have the M1A2 SEP which is air conditioned. Of course those bastages add that sort of thing AFTER I get out.

This was DEFINITELY in for EQLive and it's pretty unbelievable that it wasn't included in EQ2. I've said this for quite some time now.

Yeah, I have been very disapointed in many ways with EQ2. Instead of building on the old first generation MMORPG, SOE decided to start a new 1st Generation MMORPG with EQ2. Now we have to wait for years for all the best features of the original eq to show up. In the mean time were dealing with a bunch of gnome tinkerers who are tier 3 tops. So far even the basic combat system isn't done and all we have seen for most classes is nerfage. To expect SOE EQ2 gnomes to rise to the level of EQ1 gnomes and actually put in things that were already top of the line and didn't need reinvention is to much to expect.. Maybe they'll quit trying to reinvent the wheel or make a better mouse trap and actually include those things that work well and build on top of those. Reinventing what already is, is a waste of time, effort and money. You take what works and build on top of that. Then you may have a true 3rd generation MMORPG. EQ2 gnomes want to build new untried things and thats all and well, but you have to have a firm foundation to build on. EQ2 doesn't have any real foundation, it's built on shifting sand. Everytime they fix one thing the sand shifts and something else gets broken in the process.

I stated in the old forums before EQ2 went live that it seemed to me that EQ2 was going to be nothing more then a technology demonstrator and not a MMORPG with a real foundation. The demonstrated technolgy is great, but the foundation for it was never in place. Now we have the game Evershift. Everthing they do in the future will never reach it's true potential because of a faulty foundation. Many of the bugs will never get fixed, simply because the shifting sand wont allow them to be fixed. Fix one bug and another pops up.

I feel sorry for the bug chasers at the company.

Well ive sent a feedback allready but somehow have the feeling noone will ever read all the feedbacks .. So .. What about a global Group looking for/ peep looking for group channel ? maybe several ones in different level ranges . If im in Lavastorm i cant see peoples ooc tells from Everfrost .. and since many people are just too lazy to send tells a channel would make this easier in my opinion ...

I love idea and it can be taken to the level of a group creation center in the game. Some wants to start a group or a raid for a particular goal. They create the group and list the goal and they can even make slots to be filled by various classes. Other players open to the center and log for groups that are doing something that they want to do. They can then sign up and fill one of the spots. Once the group is full, then it is gone from the center and its off to adventuring. This will make it much easier to make groups rather than /ooc.

I would love to see Group looking for player added, also please add notes to LFG also

They simple features that will improve the overall quality of the game I am sure it is easy to impliment a system like this EQlive had it FFXI would even let you add notes when LFG

I thought EQ2 was suppose to be a next gen game ?? If so why are we still in need of last gen technology and features

I agree that this feature needs to be implemented. Like the other posters I can't understand why this wasn't implemented when the lfg interface was created. Seems that in alot of the interface areas , that SOE took a step backwards from the way they were in EQ. Have to say I was happy when they finally implemented the new guild window months ago. Hopefully we'll see a new lfg menu interface with notes and "group looking for more" functions.

Brilliant, because it is so simple and yet will be such a big improvement. Adding a Group Looking For Player button will definetely encourage grouping and make it much easier. By all means please implement this as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Let's see,

How did Sid Meier put it. Can't quote but it went something like this from this month's PC G**** magazine.

1/3 proven, 1/3 improved, 1/3 new.

I think this would have fallen into the proven catagory.

If you don't know who Sid Meier is, he is one of the best PC game designers of all time. Dam fine strategy I think.

I am all for this idea. If I knew people were looking for a healer or a Wizard, I would grp with them to help out when bored. I don't like putting the LFG tag up cause they either think I am waiting on our raid, or someone is starting a grp and I usually have to wait 20 min for the grp to form. I would rather check LFP and help people out for awhile.
