View Full Version : Does anyone on test actually do crafting writs and tradeskill tasks?
<DIV>As of the most recent patch I have discovered 3 (so far) that's THREE freshly bugged writs/tasks for the 45+ alchemists </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the items assigned are heal, sentry and ignore agony app2s</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>characteristicts include the fact that they don't show the completion ratio i.e. number completed / total to complete</DIV> <DIV>quest journal will update as normal</DIV> <DIV>upon making the specified quantity the message to turn the items into the giver appears</DIV> <DIV>quest giver doesn't take the items or give credit or reward basically behaves like you're coming back to bug them for a reassignment</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so, i have to wonder if changes to tasks and writs for crafters are actually being tested on the test server because i can't see how a bug even worse than the one that was supposedly fixed could slip through like this when it's closely related to the original bug.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and yes, when i see a bug i /bug it</DIV>

<DIV>Assaulting the integrity of an entire server is not going to endear your point to anyone.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Beyond that, there are some things that slip through. There are a decent number of alchemists on Test, but not that many are 45+. It takes a long time to raise a tradeskill that high, as I'm sure you are well aware. So maybe no-one noticed this one. Or maybe someone did, and /bugged it, but since there were only one or two reports it slipped past the devs. All of the above have been known to happen.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's too bad you encountered bugs, but you /bugged them. So do we. What is to be accomplished by being insulting?</DIV>

<DIV>There are lots of crafters on Test, a lot of them submit bugs everyday. It's up to SOE to fix them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I used to be active on Test couple months ago, but I won't go back because it's so empty all the time. Sometimes it felt like there were more crafters than adventurers there, I know cause I used to be one of them and submit bugs everyday. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
<P>Explain to me where exactly in my post there is any attack on the integrity of the test server population.</P> <P>I know that there is a very low population on the test server and THAT is what I was reffering to.</P> <P>Stop looking for attacks that don't exist.</P>

<DIV>I have to admit I winced when I saw the title. It <EM>does</EM> sound like an attack, but that's text for you. I could read it aloud using ten different tones and emphases and still maybe not say it the way you heard it in your head when you wrote it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In answer to your question, yes, there are testers actively involved in high level crafting and completing writs for guild status. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That a bug slipped through is no longer surprising to many of us. (I have reported quite an obscene typo on 3 seperate occasions. It remains to this day.)</DIV><p>Message Edited by Sacha on <span class=date_text>06-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:43 AM</span>
