That could be dangerous if you're looking to buy two of a higher-priced item, and the seller adds to the stack between the time you've displayed the listings and pressing the hypothetical "buy all" button. Admittedly, I have no idea what sort of locking the broker system does, I'm assuming that it's already smart enough to protect you if the price on an item changes between the display and purchase time, so the stack count listing could be taken into account as well.
Message Edited by WAPCE on 05-05-2005 01:46 PM

Think this would be great if: 1. the broker displayed how many items were in the stack. 2. when you clicked buy stack it bought the number that was displayed (or less), so that you got as many as were available, up to, but not exceeding the size the stack was when you looked at it. ... buying 100+ tempers when you see a good price on the broker is currently a click-fest.

Tho it still leaves a bit of fairness, and allows everyone a chance to buy the item. As well as keeping those irritating people who like to buy cheap items and turn around and sell for more.

That's how it worked in EQ1, and I'd like to see it here as well. However, in EQ1, you were actually browsing the merchant so the game easily knew when to lock the inventory. Not sure how they'd do it with a broker.... maybe limit the amount you can purchase to the lesser of what you actually see on your list or what's left in the vendor's inventory when you actually click the button.

Edit: Just read djhbeek's post... lol yeah what he said.

Message Edited by Malackii on 05-05-2005 10:45 AM

I've still wondered if a few ppl know a way to do this already. I've looked at my sell list a few times and during the course of a few months I've seen a large lump sum of money next to 1 stackable item and the entire stack was gone. Not the usual list of 20 items individually -- just 1 item and 1 lump sum on my sell list. I don't know how they did it though. It's happened at least 5 times to my trader.
