Since the last time I was in Antonica with one of my older characters, I still was able to see the Heroic Encounter consider system on the scarecrows and many other creatures. However, I suppose in some other patch, which I started my new character on, these Heroic Encounters were cut down to regular encounters.

This is a major change, and this is basically taking away almost the entire experience source of levels 13 to 20. I was just wondering, what do you think of these changes? What is the purpose of the changes?

Since my assassin could never really solo group mobs, I'm not sympathetic. If all classes could solo group mobs, I might be. Sure you could call me unskilled, but I have a beserker that can take down white group mobs and a necro that can take blues.

I dont find it funny, my main has done all or most of the content that has ben introduced in the game. When i use my alts, i only choose to redo the stuff worth redoing, other wise, i look for some fast xp. Never found soloing to be enjoyable let alone fast xp. I somewhat agree with the idea of changing zones to be better suited for solo players. i dont feel that zones should heavily favour these players. These people who want to achieve everything that the group, or raid can do while solo need to get real, they need to suck it up and realize they gotta group every now and then, dumbing down content is only rileing up the people who have alredy made the run to level 50 and now they are seeing that everything they did the hard way is now easier.

i as well do this with my alts. its not so much that we repeat the same thing every level with all of our alts, its that accasionally you find a source of experience or loot that is far superior than most other locations in a zone. The scarecrows are one such group. I spent lvl 16 - 23 hunting those things and those things alone with the exception of a few stormhold groups. Most of the time i was grouped while killing them and not solo. Trust me i looked around the whole zone, yes the whole zone as big as it is, to try and find better/ funner/ easier experience than the scarecrows and couldnt find it. They were just that easy and fun to lvl off of, but now they are gone. I feel bad for the future players who cant count on being able to get a crow group together and are denied the experience that we were able to gain while hunting them.

The change was made to create more content for the bulk of the playerbase. Most classes can't regularly solo blue and above heroic group cons. And soloing green group cons has not been more viable for experience over higher solo mobs for a long time now. Most of these group mobs in these zones went unmolested, so they altered them to fit with the people who actually hunt in those areas.

If the only thing you ever killed were scarecrows then you need to go out and explore a bit more anyway. ;>

There are plenty of heroic mobs out there, many of the gnoll and highwaymen camps, most of the stuff still in BB, VS, and SH, and the instanced zones that hardly anyone ever touches.

Hmm... I wonder why no one ever touches them. Oh, yeah, that's right! Because few people are up to the point in the terms of levels that they can get into any groups around those parts.

Honestly, I can say that you're taking my post a bit to seriously. No, I don't only hunt crows. Once past level 23, there's no possible way that you can benifit off of hunting them.

Well, alright. Thanks for your opinions everyone. I just wanted to show what I thought... oh well. : P
