Leaving because of the Robe of the Invoker removal

<P>I think that the robe is too overpowered anyways. Not asking for it to be nerfed but really think about it. The Robe is used by a large number of lvl 50 players and the Robe cons grey to them. Not only that but Clerics give up their heavy armor wearing BP's just to wear this robe. It is tied for the highest power regen item in the game and the Robe con's grey to a lvl 50? </P> <P>It should definitly be a rare item if it is so valuable to so many players. Should be 5x as rare as any ebon.</P>

I have a better idea, how about the devs make every rare item in the game obtainable through the /claim command??!?  Personally, I don't want to see every single freaking caster in the game with a Robe of the Invoker.  Its a nice robe yes, but it should be a special and hard to obtain robe also.

thats one thing that I think is a weakness of EQ2... you have like one uber item in a level range, that everyone backstabs each other to get... no real choices unless you want to [Removed for Content] yourself... And of course this ends up with everyone that farms for that item looking exactly the same in the end... (and those that say screw it not looking too much different) I mean, I like how you have chain vs brigandine, plate vs vanguard, and more ornate the higher the level, but it still seems so lacking, so... forced...

This access quest was bugged. Maybe CaressOfSteel speak about that. I did get the boattrip finally when the mobs were grey to me. so i soloed the boat to be sure to get it. Many times i did it with pick up group, guildies, and so on, some getting access, some never getting it, me included. More than a month of try if i remember correctly.<BR>

Every class I've tried playing is [Removed for Content]. Nothing works right in this game and hasn't since it went live. Maybe 6 months or a year from now this game will be what's it's meant to be. I however can't see another 6-12 months to pay to be a beta tester. I'm playing Guild Wars atm and it's not great but it's free. I'd rather play a not totally great game for free than keep paying to play a broken game. I'll check out what's been done to correct the major issues this game has in about 5 months just to be sure my toon isn't wiped 6 months from now. Unless Vanguard beta has begun by then. Vanguard looks like the game EQ2 should've been. If I get into beta and it sucks I'll probably never waste my money on another MMO as long as Iive. I feel your pain but won't quit over it. I've been in Feerrott for a whole week trying to get it. Another guy in there has been there for 3 weeks. It's a bit stupid but totally in line with the rest in this "watch grass grow" game. The only thing they REALLY should do is make it use symbols skill so only casters can use it. Seeing paladins and dirges in that thing really feels wrong. Also, adding some OTHER mana regen chestplates/chains or something, make the queststarter common and the quest BLOODY long instead. It would feel like you're progressing at least not like now, /random /random /random /random /random =( <div></div>

I got my robe from the stone way back...didn't camp a single second. The stone used to spawn almost instantly. So everyone who was fast enough to level up got their robes without a problem. So now you have half the server having a game-breaking item...and the others do not. I got my robe, what do I care?... - hey...that sucks. Almost as bad as having "pre-nerf" uber items in a game. Not fair gaming. Im sure when the expansion pack comes out there will be better items or a reason why the Robe becomes 2nd rate. the game still needs time to settle out. Trying to create a virtual world is bound to be a complicated thing

How exactly does one EARN the right to this robe? I've spent level 35-42 leveling here, few hundred chests.. No robe. Now I've been at this tree for 80 hours straight,  80 HOURS STRAIGHT... How many of you can fathom how long that is?  80 hours spread out is bad enough, this is over 3 days straight..  I'm sitting just right so that I'm not blocking the spawn completely, but anyone who comes to sit is blocking it, thus getting reported <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Yes, this is MY rock, I waited this long for it, I EARNED it. If someone steals the rock from me, I'll probably quit.. A. Because I waited for so long. B. Some abuser, (And from a psychiological standpoint there's a good chance they do beat the crap out of people, hey, they're cruel in game, probably are out too.) would have had to block the chance of me clicking it completely. C. GMs wouldn't do anything about the previous exploit, they never do anything. (I would want them banned and my robe returned to me, because yes, this time the rock is MINE, I waited for it, I earned it.) D. I don't want to be around extreme scumbags. I don't give two poops if they've been waiting a long time too, by running back and forth hoping to get lucky. They didn't spend the time there, or the effort. "Oh! But real life calls blahblahblah." <div></div>After 80 hours straight of waiting I AM, entitled to it, hands down.  I've waited, and I'll continue waiting till I get it. And you know what your problem is WAPCE?  You don't understand the value of working to get something.  If someone spends the time and effort, they earned it. It doesn't have to do with class or armor type, it's about how much effort and time they put into it. Ah, but I brought a partner, the spot is never left unwatched. One sleeps while one is awake, using the bathroom while the other is afk is good enough to be an olympic speed sport now. Eating and bathing are all done while we're both awake, thus one can be watching it. We're both around on server resets, and we're always the first in zone. Tho, I do wonder if the resets affect the rock. <div></div>

Well, I've come this far why stop now? <span>:smileytongue:</span> I don't raid, so this is really  like THE best chest piece I can get, it's crazy, I know.. I know the robe itself doesn't make me a great player, (Hey! After all, I'm already great! *poses in the spotlight and ducks the flying tomatos*). It does [Removed for Content] me a bit compared to other healers who have it though. If only the people would realize my posts show what it's like to have to get this robe when all else fails.
