<DIV>Moorguard I was disappointed you felt the need to lock the "Make a stand here for combat changes" thread. The poster has obviously played EQ1 / EQ2 for sometime and has become acustomed to the many nerfs SOE put place to counteract the few exploiters / creative players in the game. I urge you and the SOE team to re-evaluate this approach. I have played EQ1 then EQ2 for over 4 years now and have gradually become disillusioned with how the games have gone from fun to grind with progressive nerfs. The Charming nerf for Chanters particularly springs to mind - SOE broke a fun class in one fell swoop & why? to nerf a few high level Chanters who where exploiting the Planes. I cant even bare to log on to EQ1 now I did have 2 accounts one for my GF ( both cancelled now) the game became so focused on the Uber few that to vast majority of players it became pointless.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PLEASE dont break EQ2 - look at how successful WOW has become because they have a fun game where the Risk V Reward ratio makes you want to come back for more (ala EQ1 pre POP) . It must be obvious from your subscription numbers that people are already quitting EQ2 and the take up of the Adventure pack was abysmal - this should ring warning bells - you need to focus on the middle 70% of players that play for fun & rewards if you bias the game in favour of making it more of a challenge for the top 15% you risk alienating the remainder. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The "Wait & See" stance your are taking may have worked the first 10 times however with hindsight & past experience of the many nerfs the Player Community know what to expect and as such have good right to be nervous. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><U><STRONG>Longevity = Content</STRONG> </U> NOT Nerfs of Frustration ....
