Wizards stink in EQ2

You are outdps'd by tanks?   You under level 25?   Every EVERY! fight I parse (wizards lvl 45-4<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> show wizards putting out 150-250 DPS.   This is many times DOUBLE of tanks and 50% higher then scouts most of the time.   You are not TOUCHED by other classes in DPS.  <div></div>

well warlocks are better than wizards at level 43 at least ran some extensive testing with a fellow wizard, on average warlocks pull about 190dps at 43, wizards are about 150dps though most other classes dont come close <div></div>

I so disagree. Im lvl 43 wizard, and never had more fun. If not a warlock in group, I allways stay on top DPS with a good margin. Ranging from 100-150 DPS easily, and even higher if the tank can hold aggro. If you get out DPS^ed by any tank class, you just suck at playing wizard. <div></div>

<DIV>I know what dafunk is saying and I agree on some things. I think at 50 our DPS is a little low but not really that bad. As for being out DPS by a tank know that is true. A monk (50) puts out more dps then any other class atm. Not sure if thats the way it was intended to be it's just the facts. A monk can hit for about 6000 in one shot wizards get maybe 3000. As far as not being able to take a hit man your a Wiz you should have know and power has never been a issue for me with the robe of invoker and geb. </DIV>

Its not that I dont like wizards, its just that wizards like Dafunk are way too vocal and I tend to generalize.  If you honestly think that wizards have the worst dmg to power ratio you really need to look at another class besides wizards.  (hint, check out enchanters and summoners)

Summoners are definately a DPS class...at least they are supposed to be. It is just that some of that DPS comes from their pet. If their role isn't DPS, what is it?

This is the art that allows a monk to do a very high dmg attack, but it is restricted to solo mobs only (nothing heroic or epic can be attacked with devastation), stuns the monk for 30 seconds and has a long reuse timer. You will never see this used in a regular group unless you get a pesky solo add that the monk decides is too much of a nuisance to have around. Monks do not out-dps all other classes, that claim is completely out of touch with the game. I regularly duo with a wizard 4 levels below me (lvl 45 monk) and if I don't spam taunts and buffs non-stop, I loose aggro in a few seconds. Peace <div></div>
