<DIV> <DIV>It has become painfully apparent, after viewing the effects of these changes, that we, the Everquest 2 community as a whole, are being chastised. Punished as a whole for the actions of a select few who learned how to beat the system, and while I agree that the combat system that allowed these individuals to exploit the system; I have to express that it is absurd to swat a fly with a howitzer.</DIV> <DIV>Good intentions pave the path to hell, or so it is said, and it is good intentions that drive these combat changes. In that light it sounds good, however in practice one must realize that changing around the netire combat system as we know it is not the way to go.</DIV> <DIV>I am pleased with combat as it stands on the live servers right this second, it requires thought and skill to be effective in both group and solo content. It is exciting and fun as it stands.</DIV> <DIV>I am very aware that many people complain that there are people who can solo green heroics, maybe even blue heroics... good for them I say. It's a great way to get a rush; you'll find much of the time these are the individuals who often put more strategy and thought into their fights than anyone else at their level.</DIV> <DIV>However I digress, the developers need to look at this realistically, changing the entire system to fix what only a few have been able to do is not the way. To change the combat system itself, is not the way to fix this. Instead focus on these buffs and conditions, that when stacked allow for this, and adjust that. Do not stifle the community by imposing these changes upon everyone, in every tier of the game.</DIV> <DIV>Therefore I call you, my fellow players, to rally now. This thread is not meant to debate or bicker, but rather to make a stand against this absurdity. I ask the following:</DIV> <DIV>-State either a go or no go on the upcoming changes.</DIV> <DIV>-State why you have come to this conclusion.</DIV> <DIV>-Try not to get caught up in an opinion war or argument. Let's make this a thread the devs can look at and either say "Hey the majority hates it" or "wow the majority loves it".</DIV> <DIV>I hope that this can be a platform for productive discussion and a resource for those that can make a difference.</DIV></DIV>
