Crusaders have not always been underdogs in EQ. Shadowknights maybe (I never played one), but paladins during the PoP expansion were FAR from being underdog. In fact, even with the taunt discs they gave warriors, my paladin still out-taunted them. What worries me is the general tendency to change a LOT of things at the same time, yet (seemingly) forgetting about lot of consequences. For instance, I think the question "what use will the paladin Stance buffs still be?" is a valid one for me. It makes no sense to change things so that other things become useless. I also think that players want a straight answer from the EQ2 team about how they see class balance, and based on what premises they are making these changes. The EQ2 team didn't mention what the mitigation percentages were, only what they will be. It's hard to figure out if a change is good or bad, if you don't know how things were. Same goes with the paladin wards and heals. I know they help me LOTS during combat, but I don't play a guardian, so I have no idea how much more I'm getting hit. My point is, I feel the EQ2 team should provide more background when they announce changes, so players won't have to keep speculating about the consequences. Again, it seems that the manner in which information is conveyed is not always the best possible.
