This needs to be re-evaluated and put on hold until priest balancing which is NOT in LU #7... so they said. Something so critical like this isn't a simple spell fix-- its a revamp to a currently existing spell and does affect balance. They took something powerful and tuned it so far down its questionable to keep on a hotbar. Please retune this spell but don't nerf it like this current version you have on test!

Its a good spell, its the REASON I became a templar. Is it fair to nerf it this badly so late in the game? the original version is NOT overpowered and since the spell is so much a signature spell to templars I cant imagine it being nerfed.

We certainly won't suck because of this nerf but when they make changes to a spell that will cause it to be rarely used it is a little drastic. I don't have a problem with them tuning the spell-- I have a problem with them doing it before they said they were doing Priest balancing since it got pushed back again.
Message Edited by kaoriknights on 04-14-2005 04:36 AM

This is not a rebalance, this is a fix to a spell that was not working as intended.

That's right, it's a fix NOT a nerf! I knew the moment i got this spell something was VERY wrong. I hardly have to use reactives! lol...600+HP group heals every time someone hits a mob???? cast on every person OMG...silly!! Always make sure you have at least 3 scout types and everything is a joke, more or less. And if you became a templar for this one spell at level 47...plz reroll...thank you in advance
Message Edited by Aia on 04-14-2005 06:09 AM

This was never intended to be a single person buff-- it used to have a 3 min duration. You definitely aren't helping by spreading WRONG numbers for it as well-- the spell heals for 597 at Master 1 and 484 at Adept 3. Its also highly inaccurate to look its its "5%" proc rate since a designer pointed out the actual proc formula less than a week ago-- this has never fired off in ~1/20 hits... the chance comes much closer to 3% actually. All of the people claiming a Templar can toss this up on a group and go AFK or hardly heal are spreading misinformation because its just not happening.

If they want to do this to glory of combat, they should atleast have it stay longer than 15 mins on 1 person or lower the power cost on the group heal. Problem is, with this happening to the spell healers will lose mana alot faster. Sure you can have 2 healers in a group but with the AEs some monsters shoots out at people, it will be quite difficult. Our group heal Word of Restoration costs almost 400 power and has a recast of 25 secs. Even with our smaller heals and such it would be difficult to heal AEs from mobs like Vision of Vox who does a 3100 dmg AE almost every 50-60secs. Devs, consider tweaking to compensate for this. I cant believe that this spell wasnt "intended" to work like this 3-4 months after people been lvl 50 already.

597 from you and 600 from me...good gracious that IS misleading!! (the little plus is for the levels after 50 ) You say a developer said "whatever"-- that the spell was never "intended"-- but I see 6 people hitting mobs and healing rain falling on them every few moments and sometimes more. And no one is claiming that you can go afk with this on 6 people...maybe you do...i don't know....but it certainly does make a BIG difference - to the point where i need to use my group reactives less! (i'm talking about your everyday regular con mobs - not Gyrok or Lady Vox or epic mobbies). If what you say is true, then they should adjust the "proc" to match correctly what is stated but it should only be castable on ONE person in the group...not everyone in city limits --- that's just a teeny exaggeration --- I have noticed...it might just be my imagination...but it seems to "go off" more often in the first 5 mins....but that's just me. I do love the way it is now...I think it's fantastic...but it's just too good. We both know it.
Message Edited by Aia on 04-14-2005 09:50 AM

I only say its misleading because ~600 is the number from the Master I version of the spell-- obviously thats not going to be the norm. Even at Adept 3 it is very powerful like you said. I support a retuning of the spell to make it more in line and reasonable but to me turning it into a single person buff turns it into 'just another buff' like Vigilant Benediction that becomes a pain to cast. I remember exping after getting this spell and really it didn't make that big of a difference with the way I did things-- however in a raid situation it definitely had its applications. It was extremely powerful but there are also alot of misconceptions people have about the spell.

Theres no point in me going on about it anymore because things will get changed how they see fit. In the end it upsets me in the manner that they change these things and when they did it (adjusting a part of templar healing with the combat changes)-- but its not going to make me stop playing so why go on.

Yea, we still got it going good than some of the other healing classes (in terms of bugs). Us templars will just adapt to it I gues

Honestly I don't really care about this change (well, maybe I do after spending a rruby on it). I just hope they could raise 5 more percents to the proc rate (which will never happen). And they better don't nerf Focused Benefection or I am gonna start a strike on it :p
