I wanted to take a moment to commend SOE on this latest update. The overall content of the update is very nice. Top items for me are: Pros: 1. Selling offline. 2. Crafting 'HOs' 3. Party members show on map. 4. Food does not go away w/ death (ok, provisioners may not like this one (-; ) 5. Removal of timers on many combat skills. 6. Easier Harvesting (From the previous patch, thought it would nice to remind everyone) - Enhanced upkeep options on housing. - Embuing. - Mail! Cons: 1. While I am all for making some of the heritage quests use more common items, instead of Fir, etc... I am dissappointed that many of us spent many gold pieces on say, a Fir Stave while others will now be able to do the same quest for a LOT less. More power to the folks who have it easier, but SOE, please consider those of us who used RARES and give us the rare items back in exchange for the uncommon item used in the quests now. 2. The Mail system is great, but it would help if I could see my sent items too. Here is my list of items I think need attention and perhaps should have been addressed prior to adding some of the recent updates. Please add to this list by responing to this post. Hijacking this thread and turning it into an SOE bashing session will make this thread pointless, therefore please do not do it. 1. Carpenters, no love again. Kindof a slap in the face that provisioners got such a nice boost. I have a provisioner and a carpenter, so at least I get to make the cool foods while getting slapped <g> Sure, all players benefit from the food enhancements, and the update is generally better for everyone than a targeted carpenter fix, but there comes a point where if you have an entire artisan class you are ignoring, you gotta do something for them regardless of the broadness of the appeal. That point has come and gone. 2. Armorers and Weaponsmiths. Yes, imbuing has helped some, but there are still dropped/easy quest/AQ items up through tier 4 at least that make buying their wares almost pointless (Except for the imbued items). There are not nearly as many food items that can compete with what provisioners make. There should be similar balance for ALL artisan classes. It is good, IMO, for player rmade items to be very desireable, but make it so for all classes. 3. "Invisible" mobs or bobs in / next to walls not visible, but can kick your butt. This is just plain sad. It seriously affects my enjoyment of, and immersion in, the game. There is no option here, SOE you need to eliminate this bug once and for all. Logically, if a MOB has the *potential* to see me and target me, I should be able to do the same, all things being equal. Maybe this logic could be employed: if ( couldKickPlayersButtIfItWantedTo(aMob) == true) then isViewableAndAttackableByPlayer(aMob) = true; 4. Bugged quests in instance zones. A party gets killed/booted by a bug or server reset after 4 hours of dungeon crawling. Now, they are locked out for 18 hours. In some cases, the quest resets and they need to start over. Attempts to /petition fail, and the eventual response is not helpful. Now, I understand that parties who make mistakes and deserve to be locked out could always claim they were bugged, and petition to get back in unfairly. BUT, either eliminate the bugs, or take the parties word for it. If the bug is there, the onus is on the developer give the players the benefit of the doubt until the bug is fixed. <div></div>
