Is gaining EXP and group bonus EXP after a fight really so rare an event that it deserves its own popup message? Come on, guys! This thing is annoying. At least give us a checkbox under options so we can turn it off.

You can... - You can now filter on-screen messages, except for important system messages. Mail messages, tradeskill item creation, harvesting an object, finding a rare harvested item, and the awarding of an artifact can all be filtered in the User Interface tab under Popup Messages.

Way to jump on him, guys. Did anyone happen to notice none of the pop-ups choices directly correspond to experience?

Not only that, but the only way to disable this message also disables the discovery experience / location messages (the ones in bright yellow text, not to be confused with the non-discovery orange text location popups). I have no problem with stuff like this being implemented as an option, but when it's an option that infringes on other things that were perfectly fine before, it's extremely frustrating.

All that needs to happen is to seperate the "you gain experience" popups from the yellow text discovery/location popups with seperate checkbox filters and all will be well. Until then, this is just annoying, you either have the choice of being spammed with "you gain experience" after every fight, or the option of not seeing any discovery experience or yellow location messages.

Also worth noting that there are 2 "show general message" checkboxes so that suggests that this may be incomplete/bugged anyway.

Message Edited by ZealPath on 04-06-2005 10:17 PM
