hmmm I dont know why SOE have to make the harvest more easy? It easy now (if you just harvest a little everyday) - I think that this game is going to be too easy..and I dont like it at all  <span>:smileymad:</span> <div></div>

<P>I'd just be happy if they increased the gains from foresty and trapping.  Mining and gathering go up plenty fast,  but having to harvest 10+ nodes (30 total harvests) for 1 skill gain in antonica is pure insanity (yes its happened to me,  it took hours and hours to finally be able to gather wood in tier 3,  and trapping is still going slower than a 7 year itch).  I don't see how this makes the game "too easy" it just makes it less tedious if you ask me.  But hey,  if you enjoy harvesting for hours on end just for skillups (not for the raw materials) then more power to ya <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>17</P>

<P>That's odd, my experience has been just the opposite. Forestry has risen the fastet with mining second fastest.</P> <P>Your individual experience just doesn't represent a sufficiently large selection set to pass judgement.</P>

<div></div><font face="Comic Sans MS">Well at start I did plan to play this game for sore years to come, now I do see that most of the game will be done maybe in half a year <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> And yes I have had days only harvesting to raise my skills to harvest in the new zones, thats a part of game if you ask me. In a month from now, SOE proberly just make even a lvl 3 have automatic (dont even need to work at it ) harvest in all zones. </font>

I dont know about you all. But  I just harvested 140 (7 stacks) of wood in anotica and did not get a single imp. while before last night's fix I was able to get up to 89.  What ever fix they did.. they have removed . <div></div>

<DIV>The entire game is becoming too easy.  I  had plan on playing for years as I did in EQL.  But having played since early Beta in July/August to now all I see is the  game  growing simpler and easier everyday.  I knew the game was more geared to the casual player, but I guess I define a casual players as someone with a few hours to play, not someone who is brain dead.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I can only assume this is a reaction of seeing a another simple-too easy game such as WOW actually having more users then  EQ2. Growth seems to be static and I see more and more experience gamers leaving everyday.  Guess I am going to have to start looking around  for a game that has some risk and requires some thinking and effort to play.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Speaker on <span class=date_text>04-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:55 AM</span>

<div></div>I love how seriously all you are taking this.  Easier skill gains for harvests makes the game less risky and easier with less thinking?  How so?  You still have to level up either your crafting or adventuring to be able to go into a certain zone to harvest.  Sure maybe you can get your skill to 140 seemingly fast now,  but you still have to A) be a lvl 32(soon 30) adventurer or crafter to go to t4 zones,  or B) do the access quest which requires you to be level 25 to start,  and have a compitent group to finish,  both items that take skill and effort to do,  and the same goes towards t5 zones.  All this is doing is elminating possibly a few hours time of tedious running around lower level zones trying to find certain nodes to get skillups off of.  Not really a big deal here folks.  17 <div></div>

<DIV><FONT color=#ffff00>I believe your opionions are valid, but i believe this change is for the better. Currently I have a 23 Templar. I grinded her for days to get up my harvesting skills and after two days of harvesting (about 7hrs really), I have only managed to get my gathering and mining skills over 90. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00>Since all the creatures in commonlands/antonica is gray... all i can do is harvest. This creates the "grind" which i believe ruins games. Sure you need a feeling of accomplishment... but it is much better imo to achieve that accomplishment by having fun (like killing creatures while harvesting any nodes you find) than to just spend a day searching for nodes to raise my skills. I would consider that a simply mundane task that prevents one from achieving the ultimate ingame experience.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00>As for those concerned that this game is too easy and there isn't going to be enough to do. You do have some things to keep you busy. After you hit level 50, concentrate on completing all the high level raid groups out there. Then level your guild to 50. Achieve the magic carpet or undead mount. There are plenty of things to do out in the world of EQ atm. And if you truly run out of things to do, roll another character and experience playing an archeatype with a completely different role from your character. By the time you finish all of that I'm quite positive SOE would've even more content.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>Im really starting to get [Removed for Content] of with the way this game is being dumbed down. Every patch these days is making something in the game easier to do.</DIV> <DIV>It gives you no sense of achievment anymore when reading whats coming up in future patches. Many off us have spent hours raising our various harvesting skills and then its being made easier..................again. This happened to me when they lowered the skills needed to harvest in Antonica. Spent ages raising my skills was pleased when I got them all to 40, only for the required skill to be lowered to 20 the next day.</DIV> <DIV>Now its happening again. Why?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Why not they just bring out a patch that levels everyone to 50 instantly and be done with it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*also posted this in another thread, if anyone thinks they are seeing double*</DIV>
