The best advice you can get on this matter is to create a character on Test and try it out yourself. You are the one that needs to be happy with your game and only you can answer if you would like Test.

Personally? I love Test, I moved my characters to Test from a production server and have never been happier.

To answer your questions though:

I was simply wondering:
1. what type of stuff does your server test?
2.what is a tester required to do?
3.what type of people and guilds are on your server?
3. what is the economy like? too little crafters? too many campers? what ?
4.what is the major differences between test and normal servers?
Any other info would help, see i have yet to play EQ2 since my Vid card, but in 1week or so,i will start, and i am very interested in test servers.

1. We test everything. Especially when there is a new patch, we immediately test the new features. We send bug reports and feedback based on what we find. We are always on the look out for exploits (to report them), spelling errors, broken quest, quality of loot, how tough (or easy) a mob is, selling prices....I could go on and on.

2. We have fantastic people and guilds on our server. What kind of people do YOU like to play with? What are YOU looking for in a guild?

3. There is not an economy to speak of, most people trade or give away things they do not need or that someone else needs more. I have seen many times where there was not a PC merchant up at all. The most pages of stuff for sell I have ever seen is 19. A lot of people craft, there are more than enough of a given skill to support the population of the server. There are no campers. What? Don't know how to answer that one.

4. The major differences between test and normal servers is basically population, availability of resources and quest mob, server stability (test can go down several times a day, we usually get booted at least once a night during our peek play time), economy.

I seriously urge you to create a character on test and one on normal servers and see which one you have the most fun on.

Sorry this was supposed to be a reply to Cruelangel, apparently pressing the reply button was the wrong thing to do?!?
