Believe it or not, this is an in-game bug. This is ruining the EQ2 economy.Hello there Guys and Gals : "Well I just quit the game thanks to these guys cause I have a feeling now that Sony has business with OGB (Afk crafters, selling plat on their website) on Everfrost Server, I am not sure about this but by the way they are handling this situation (kicking, not banning) makes me think they do, I also didnt like the attune armor patch . But well this is what I have found so far about this guys are OGB = http://www.onlinegamebucks.com/ and If you Click on the links on their page You will found out who they are . but well if you are lazy to do it, It is IGE.com http://www.ige.com one of the biggest Online virtual money sellers, so well IGE is Destroying some how the MMORPG industry as you have seen... SOE why dont you guys make a single server for them, to not ruin the game play of all your customers and then if they want to move to a server they cannot."

So what was done?

I play on Everfrost. I took the screenshots of those guys macroing and posted them. All I saw was that the GM responded to the thread saying AFK gamplay would not be tolerated and the thread was locked.

I dont' know if OGB left on their own accord or got banned, as the GM can't really say. But I did see their mule character on for a brief moment a few days ago. Maybe they missed an account?

It has been said that a new crop of AFK macro people have sprouted in Freeport Tradeskill zones.

I only hope that the crafters in Freeport will not tolerate this and will take the same measures that the crafters in Qeynos have by reporting and taking screenshots.

Every server has a well-known group of 6 IGE plat botters. Plus maybe some amatuer farmers. Easy to identify. They have been reported numerous times. They still roam around, after weeks and weeks have passed. Say again SOE does something against professional plat-selling botters. Would cost them half an hour to check all the reports and verify them. Is half an hour too much to keep the game working? Only if SOE is siding with IGE. The probably get royalties from them. Yes, they deny that. They SAY they don't tolerate botting. What they DO is different: nothing against botters, but plenty of thread locking against those mentioning the problem. THIS time obviously is not too much to invest. Probably this thread will be locked soon too. Probably after the standard message saying "we do not tolerate botters" from a mod.

Message Edited by Ricassari on 03-27-2005 01:31 AM

Well if we can identify them we can stop buying from them. If it's not profitable for them they'll get the point and move on after they deplete they stash of ill gotten plat to the people who dished our real money. This involves everyone doing their part and staying clear of these individuals in the marketplace.

I know I was in on that one. I have a better one for you

Blackguard wrote:
Here is some further information for those interested: We investigated the harassment and exploitation reports that we received. Harassment, training, and unattended play are not tolerated in EverQuest II, and we do take action. A handful of individuals were discovered to be breaking the Terms of Service, and we found that these few individuals owned dozens of accounts. All of these accounts have been banned permanently and their characters have been removed. What this means is that you will not only no longer have to deal with the undesirable behavior, but they will also no longer appear on EQ2Players.com (this may take a little while to occur).

Faarwolf wrote:
The list of accounts removed was impressive to say the least. Few facts. There were MANY buyback "bugs" for tradeskill products, people were able to make 3pp per hour. These bugs were in game for "some" time. So, those who knew that these "bugs" exists could make gooood money on them. For few hours some items were selling for amazing 2000+pp, those who knew about it made HUGE ammount of money. For short period of time people were able to get rare harvest at rate of common harvest (however SOE said it isnt true, but I do believe people more than SOE). Now IGE can offer "PowerLeveling" service (thnx to big brother and mentoring). Now IGE can deliver ebayed items / plat by mail (how convinient, isnt it?). IGE's people saying that "they are in very close contacts with SOE" (saw somewhere interview with IGE's president or something like this). SOE doesnt make any real actions to remove botters/farmers from game, however they have ALL abilities to track them. SOE deletes / locks EVERY post about IGE. And... I really do have feeling that "some" people in SOE have really close relations with IGE. P.S. No doubt that this post will be deleted/closed, but anyway.. people who are supposed to read it will read it.
